If ID and Flex are in, Bando is in.

I'll pick you up on the way....

I'm only 177 lbs, not even warmup weight..

4 hours for me, and given the 14 month notice, I ...might... twist enough arms to get a weekend off mid summer. Keep updating thread when you decide which weekend and a rough estimate on how much $ I should start putting in the piggy bank.

I'm going to talk to Gnomus about it at our highlander next month...probably be talking to a lot of the throwers/strongmen at the meet. There's not much of a degree of separation between the two types of athletics, and most people do a little of whichever one isn't their main focus.

I might get a couple of guys from West Virginia and one guy from Wisconsin to show.

Anyway, right now I'm shooting for late July. Entry fee won't be very much, certainly no more than 20 bucks...probably be more like 10 bucks and a donation of however much you want to give to feed the hungry.

Something like that.

Yeah, this is showing some potential to be epic.

The event + viking funeral after party...it would have to become an annual event.

Ithaca?

I may come down in that case.

Very odd, they sell beer but you have to sit and drink it in this little fenced in area like an animal in the zoo. The whole area is a park so you can BYOB and walk about freely with your own beer ???

The Ithaca event is later in the year, August, I think. I'll probably throw at that one.

Our competition next month is right in Albany in Lincoln Park.

I'm thinking I would more enjoy Scottish Games than strongman. The history of it is kind of charming.

Would rather compete in strongman, never have. I suspect if your big 3 are decent and you can run a mile you could get ready for a strongman in a hurry?

That's about right. Just need to be strong and have good work capacity.

They're both a blast...but I admit I prefer throwing to strongman.
