I propose a 3 lift competition...
« on: March 26, 2012, 11:26:32 AM »
Your 3 lift total divided by body weight = your score.

Ex:

My total = 810, my weight = 178.  810/178= 4.5

Whoever has a higher score wins.  Thoughts?  Lifts only count if video submitted...I figure we should do something badass like this to kick off the new forum.

More videos coming. I do have one of my 555lb deads from January, but I'm assuming that we're starting this Comp on the day the Forum was "born".

405 DL
300 LB Squat
225 Bench

= 940/177  >:( (just gained 7 lbs somewhere) = 5.31  >:(

last week at 170 it was 5.51

Those are numbers I can push/pull/get up at this moment. Never filmed a bench but I can do that in my basement. Here's a couple older vids of those #'s, I haven't done singles in awhile:

This sounds like fun.... I am not a power lifter, but just a few quck calcs and I think I would come in 6.6-6.7.
My totals thinking conservative on the squat is around 1260.

I am working to bring deads back in my workouts again now that I have a leg press.  My squat is the weakest...(in the low 4's)...>But, I am a high bar close stance squatter.  (bodybuilding style) Never really tried a powerlifter squat with feet wider then shoulders.  Not sure what I would be able to do, but I would have some re-learning of form to do.

I think if I went for it, I could get my dead 550+ range.  Being that I am lifting on the second floor of my house....I take it very easy.  Any thing I lift up, I have to have the juice to set down VERY gently. :)....Yea...I use straps too!  As would you.

This was a few weeks ago and was the first time I had deadlifted in a few months.  500 went so easy, I decided to triple it.

500x3

I think I am about ready for a deload....but after my aches and pains.....plus my pneumonia clear....I might make a run at it!

Thanks

I wish my gym were on concrete!  There is always the thought back in my head that as I lift the weight....there is no turning back.  I have gotten real good at the soft set-downs ;)

I just benched 205 for 8 with a spotter, surprised the hell outta myself, looked at the chart and that = a 246 single.

Kind of an odd thing that BB bench and DB bench is about the same for me, no?

Very VERY odd.  I could probably only press 100lb DB's for 4-6 reps but can do the same with 225 on a BB.  Your BB should be about 20-30lbs heavier I would think.   Decline bench is about 10% heavier than my flat bench.
