my squat felt like a huge milestone today
« on: April 13, 2013, 06:34:43 PM »
Today was squat day for me. Forever i have been rehabbing my back. Previous pt sessions and constant streching get old. Two different doctors told me it would be best if i didnt squat anymore, my pt said dont do it if it hurts. I chose his advice...

Anyways, did 315 today. It went so well, i racked it and then a few minutes later did another and got an easy double. Probably could have got 3 or 4, but caution is now a virtue for me.

Although, not a huge number or anywhere near a pr for me , it feels so good.
After my first set i racked and yelled fuck yeah, really loud. Got a few stares not a single fuk was given. Yes back is sore, but who cares im back in

End of ramble...

No vids,

Do not care if not believed

I was there

Not a damn thing wrong with #315 as that's 315 more than the average person ever does. I see so many assholes in the gym who do nothing but biceps, or they will do tricep pressdowns.....with horseshit form of course. The ones I do see trying to squat typically do that cute little 3" drop and then they are right back up.

Agree, three wheels is a benchmark. I have been working to get back there , with out screwing my back up for ages.

I always wonder why so few squat, its one of the most tried and true movements of all time

315 is a solid squat, IMHO.

I have seen exactly one person IRL do a legit 3 plate squat (other than me) in the last 3+ years I have been training.

Oh, i agree.

Thats why i was so happy. to me three wheels is a huge benchmark.

It is always impressive to see 3 plates loaded

Maybe the thread title was not the best one.
I was very happy to do this amount today and to me it kind of told me im back

Thanks all
