Deload weeks are sometimes real good. Unfortunately my deload week I ended up with a head and chest cold.

Have you figured out what plan or routine you will be switching to? I still need to nail something down.

I'm leaning towards Doggcrap, have not run it in 2 years. Would be great shock to the system and the only program that I've noticed really jacks up my leg diameter.

I read some of your journal the one day from the beginning and saw you were running DC. How long did you run it for and what made you switch away from it?

I probably ran it twice, maybe 9 months each time, which is way to long.

here's a vid of what DC Deads look like, this was 2 years and 2 months ago, I had a lot more belly fat

Only took 1 hard cut. And by hard I mean hard. Looking back it was worth it, was miserable for 4 months or so, but even that had rewards, made me realize how bad I wanted it.

Damn.  4 months?  How much did you cut?   How was your strength at the end? Sometimes I wonder if I should cut hard and fast and get it over with, then the smart side tells me to go slow and do it right.

I dropped 10 lbs in 4 months, did not lose any signifigant muscle mass. I'm only 165 now, it's not so much about weight but muscle vs. fat percentage. My strength tanked but when you are the strongest guy at your weight in your gym to begin with, you can drop 20 lbs from your lifts and still impress people.

I kept trying to slow cut and it did not work, so I did AM fasted cardio and PM cardio, cut down on beers and did 3 a days. 4 months of that shit and the beer belly went bye bye

So for DC training you're basically lifting that same weight with virtually no rest in between? That would, in all likelihood, kill me. lol

I don't have any cardio stamina.

Gut vanishing strategy noted. Like BLK00TJ already said,  may just be smarter to get it done and over with.

Just need more hours in the day.

you take between 18 and 25 deep breaths. It's really kind of on the fringe of programs, some hate it and some love it. It also incorporates hard fascia stretching, which again you will get lots of hard looks in the gym.

But in the end, it works.

But not forever

Damn, I definitely need more than 25 breaths between sets due to both my asthma and lack of any cardio conditioning. lol

Thanks for the info though.

Decided to go back to my 1st "real program" for awhile. Only 3 sets of a particular lift, pryamid up to heavy weights and then switch lifts. I feel the need to lift heavy weights even if I have to start wrapping my elbows.

How many specific exercises do you have planned? How are you going to split days, maybe Legs/Push/Pull or something else?
