No, the 6th and 7th were close, but none of my squats in that video were competition legit.

Flex, it's your turn, as soon as you decide to step on the platform.  The excitement and energy of Meet day adds 10lbs to any lift.

What about warmups and shit?

I me4na you don't just walk out there and squat huge numbers do you?

I need to work up to my max; get my CNS activation going.

But I can't see everyone standing around while I do 8 working sets first.  LMAO.

do you do deeper singles then or how do you train to make sure you hit the right depth on comp day?

They do give you ample wram-up time.  Often, there are multiple racks and areas set aside for this.  Part of the Meet, is being able to warm up, without over doing it.

I do go deeper for singles and low rep sets.  Most of my warmups sets, I have my spotter make sure I hit depth.  This allows me to memorize where I need to hit during the heavier sets.  This particular set was the final set, and I was aiming for as many as I could get to completely exhaust the quads/hams/glutes.  Volume and not necessarily form.

Well, it's been a shitty two weeks of sleep. I'm lucky if I can get 3 straight hours of sleep.  I'm napping during the day where ever I can.  Mind set has been fubar'd, food intake is off, appetite is shot, weight has dropped 4 lbs, and I have to work Thursday and Friday, a 12 hour day each.  I'm planning on taking a real easy day on Saturday, hitting my weigh-in, stuffing myself full of pancakes, and sleeping hard on Saturday night.  Sunday, up at 6, feed the birdies, out the door by 7, Rules clinic at 7:45am. Lifting begins at 9am.

Openers 430/275/530 = 1235
Second attempt 450/300/575 = 1325
Final, if I don't miss a second, 470/315/585 = 1370

I'll update at the end of the day.

Squat: Gotta work on leg alignment.
RPS Power Challenge, 10/2012 475lb squat

Bench: Really light.
RPS Power Challenge, 10/2012 270lb bench

Got screwed a bit on this one, as I set my second attempt at 300, it was written down at 310, and I missed it.  Can't drop weight, so had to try again, and didn't have the strength for it.

Deadlift:
RPS Power Challenge 10/2012 560lb Deadlift

I am simply strong in this one, but I really need to work on my form.

Hopefully I can come see one of these soon, Attleboro isn't far at all for me.  Just need to fit it into my schedule.

The Attleboro one won't be for another year.  However, RPS is running one in March, 2013 on the 23rd & 24th

2013 New England Revolution
Next Level Fitness
12 Industrial Lane, Johnston RI 02919

I'm on the fence if I'll do that one, or aim for the Europa in June (Hartford, CT).  If I do it, I'll be posting it here, first.  They are fun to watch, and it's insane to see some of the small guys/gals move serious weight.  Nothing like a hot 140lb chick pulling a 360lb deadlift.
