My shiny new bar
« on: November 30, 2018, 08:48:13 PM »
Got my new ohio power bar today. Bare steel. Looks great and I'm excited to use it. Got a reasonable deal for it on black friday. Not the $50 madness that happened but I'm happy woth it. I was looking for a new bar and narrowed itdown to a few different choices. American barbell must have made a mistake aand had their mammoth bar on for 250 (mormally 550) but I didn't know much about  the bar. By the time I had decided they corrected the error. Oh well.

Which one? The mammoth? It's thier top end power bar. Stainless with ceracote. It's a beautiful bar but I'm not sure why they coated a stainless bar. My concern with the bar is that american barbell generally has a fairly passive knurl. A lot of people like them but it's a little too passive for me. Although for 250 I would have gotten it. That bar is 850 canadian here.
