supplements
« on: October 01, 2018, 10:00:59 PM »
I used to take a pretty good amount. I took fish oil and multi's twice a day, Vitamin D, Creatine and Whey protein.

Currently I'm having some of my best training of my life and all i take is 5g creatine at night and some whey occasionally if i need more protein. I think the fish oil, multis and other stuff didn't do anything for me except drain my wallet.

what sups do you take, and have you tried cutting them out and noticed any difference?

All the above plus osteo biflex. Keeps the joint sound effects to a minimum.  Don't really notice when I'm on, but within 2 weeks of running out,  things get noisy.  Haven't had much success with any other experimentation.

ZMA and creatine, sometimes whey.

I bought some cissus quadralangus or whatever but when it's gone I won't be buying it again.  No differences noticed.

I generally go to creatine for a month or two leading up to a meet, not sure why I do it that way, but I do.  And joint stuff, fish oil, etc when I have a boo boo.

I use whey and creatine only cause it's cheap. I put bcaa's in my water I drink during my workout. That's it.

thanks for the reply's guys. Looks like most of us do not use many sups. The main one that i cut out is fish oil, I was big on that stuff for almost 2 years and i dont think it really did much.

Flex: I tried ZMA two different times, and for whatever reason it has the opposite effect on me. I cant sleep worth a shit when i take it. I'm half awake in some weird lucid dream state. No bueno for me. No deep sleep at all

I take creatine, fish oil on and off, vitamin D daily, whey to top off protein as needed and right now Iím taking collagen.

Fish oil - I dunno, notice nothing taking it or not

D - since I have been taking it I feel I donít get sick half as bad or half as often.

Creatine: it works, itís cheap

Collagen - this one is a wildcard, I started taking it for my patellar tendinosis a few years ago, I made some squat changes at the same time but within a month my 2 year long knee tendon pain was gone.
I am taking it right now for my hip, it may help or may be shit, but IMO itís worth another shot.

I also take melatonin, it helps me fall asleep quickly

I tend towards the Black Market supplements.  Better Living through Stronger Pharmaceuticals.

But for over the counter, I drink my BCAA's, take an Isolate Protein, Vitamin D3, and CoQ10 (Helps with blood pressure), and Red Yeast Rice for my Liver.

I also take Taurine for cramping issues due to excessive Caffeine.

And I know I need a CPap machine for sleep.  Haven't gotten one yet, but need to.

Too much positive information on Vit D, C, and a quality fish oil for me not to take it. I also take creatine mono.

Fish oil I take

I also take these for joint health and have for over a year. I get zero joint issues and those that know know how much I bench ect.

I have staples....

Fish oil
Vit D (in winter 5000 iu/day)

Workouts
Creatine Mono (creapure in bulk)
Beta alanine (in bulk)

Various stims
Annhydrous caffeine powder
DMAA (I still have a decent stock pile)
Ephedrine every now and again.

Joint health
Started taking cissus and glucosamine w/ msm.   Has really made a difference in my shoulder.   I take about 1/2 the recommended dose.

WHEY...what can I say.

A picture speaks 1000 words.   Just got this last week.  (doesnt everyone buy whey 20kg at a time? :D)
