wagon wheels
« on: September 12, 2018, 02:07:52 PM »
I'd like to patent wagon wheels that are shorter - just big enough to get regular plates on and off easily

also want to add a built in collar to lock them on the bar so they don't move at all when loading/unloading other plates

and $425 is insane even for rogue (just throwing that out there)

you want a I-S shirt.  They have sales all the time, get one then.

Rogue gear is expensive, but it's usually pretty good.

Also stop being so lazy.  Just pick the bar up and put the plates on.

Or use a deadlift jack.

sounds like a lot of work, and heavy lol

wagon wheels are not made to the same tolerances as weight plates and should be cheaper .... or maybe a little more $425 is insane and they should lock on - it only makes sense to me.

even 'generic' ones are over $200

you are only allowed to agree with me, sorry

It's not a terrible idea. Be a lot easier to just put a roll of duct tape around a couple old plates, would be easier on the surface they're hitting as well.

Sweet, just found my new project.  Wish I saw this a few months ago.  My comp coming up is a truck tire deadlift, and I've been deadlifting off of a bumper plate and steel plate to get the extra 4".   PITA to keep from rolling off, and you still gotta deal with getting the plates on and off the regular way, but it was the quickest way to make the 4".

And yes, everything rogue, and most everything elite fts is stupid expensive.  I spend money like a drunken sailor, but there's some things for my little dungeon gym I just can't justify.
