Hot tub
« on: June 06, 2018, 10:30:16 AM »
Anyone use a hot tub regularly?  I had one at my last house 15 or so years ago, and loved it.  I've resisted getting one the past few years, because I know my kids are going to be a pita with it.  We are putting a monstrosity of a deck on the back of the house this year, so it's time.  I picked out a Marquis spa, because they have more of the hydrotherapy crap than mos other brands.  I'm not sure how much it's going to help, but I need all the help I can get.  Just curious to see if anyone else has had any experience with them.

I have one and like it. Not sure how effective it is for recovery and stuff bit it is nice to relax in. It's getting to the time of year now where it won't get much use since it isn't comfortable when it's hot out. Ours came with the house and I'm  not sure I'd fork over money for a new one.

I like hot tubs but have not wanted to deal with the maintenance associated with them.
Would rather have a steam sauna than a hot tub, but then I don't get muscle knots (have to have muscle first I'm guessing  ;) ). It's mostly my joints that need something and I found a steam sauna works better than a hot tub when we belonged to fitness place that had both. Plus the steam sauna was nice when I'd get a cold; cleans out the sinus's nicely.

This is the one I wound up getting.  The lounge, and the captains chair where a big plus.  Also, my oldest has some disabilities and the shape of this one was easier for her to get in and out of.  The one we had at our last house was nothing like this as far as hydrotherapy crap, and I loved it.  It was about 15 years ago, so I really don't remember if it was good for anything other than relaxing.  I won't have it for at least a month though.

I have one as part of my pool setup.  Itís small and not fancy like the stand alone ones, but the heat really helps my back as well as muscle soreness.  My orthopedic surgeon recommended using it as well.   Enjoy.

Had the tub for about two weeks now, and have been in the thing every day.  After a workout I'm in there for a bit, then contrast shower.  Not sure when the newness will wear off, but after a long day yesterday I was sitting in there thinking of what my son said the first time he went in "this is paradise".

What about the Soft Tubs? Anyone with experience owning one? I have plenty of room on my front porch which is enclosed and the wife has wanted one for yrs.
