Just looked up the State records for my age/weight division...I'm going to destroy all 4 records with my openers! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Flat bench-last heavy day for Prep...only working to openers next week.  Bench, I'll probably drop my opener to 365, no need to go too heavy with attempt 1.

405x1!! BOOOM!!!  It wasn't pretty, but I got it and will do it again on meet day.  Felt great to hit this number considering last time I did I was 40lbs heavier.

Mixed grip-haven't pulled mixed in quite a while so starting light to make sure hand placement is OK and I'm pulling evenly

615x1...once I broke the floor the weight flew up, I think I'll hold this for attempt 2 and possibly open with 585
585..quick single.

Done...contemplated for another PR, but may as well end my DL peak with a good PR rather than a fail...helps stroke the ego going into the meet. 

not sure what I'll do tomorrow,  my gym is replacing every single piece of equipment tomorrow so I my just help with that. 
Thursday-squats and Friday I'm going to a gym near my house and pulling with an Okie bar.  The bar I've been using (rogue dl bar) has decent whip, better than the stock stiff bars, but the okie will be closer to the RPS bar, just going to feel it out.

last heavy squat day in the books before the meet and it was a good one.  I have 3 other guys I train with and not a single one of the phuckers showed up! sonsofbI*Tches.

Very happy with how I feel and how everything is coming together.  Going to play with am okie bar tomorrow at a different gym, mon and tues will be light easy days so I don't feel like a useless schmuck then resting the body until the meet.  My daughter also graduates highschool Thursday before the meet so that's exciting also!

5 days to meet and counting.  Weight is down to 221, going to hit openers today and tomorrow to make sure strength is holding....shouldn't be a reason it's not.  Trying to bench and DL today and squat tomorrow. Then rest the remainder of the week, want to get weight town to about 218 just incase there's any variance in the scales to give me a little wiggle room. 

Trying not to injure myself before the meet, had a close call this weekend.  The ex called me bc her timing belt snapped and she needed a tow and she doesn't have road side assistance on her insurance and I have a car dolly.  I had no help so I did everything on my own. Pushed her car onto the dolly after several attempts, but everything went ok. The tricky part was get if off the dolly. It has wheel stops behind the front wheels and when you're pushing it on, if you push the car fast enough you the momentum will carry the car over the stops, but there is no momentum getting it back down.  After several attempts of pushing it down, I ended up putting my body into it, lifted the front end of the car (thankfully it's a small car) and got it over the stops, of course since I was leaning so hard into the car once it moved I fell onto the dolly, banged up my leg pretty good, but I got lucky and didn't injure myself seriously.  And then on the way home I get pulled over a block from my house by an officer....some new kid.  He says I have to have a license plate on the dolly, but I told him, not in the state of florida and I showed him the statue stating so, but he argued since a car was not on it it's considered a trailer...I seriously bert stared this fucker  :doh:  I was like....whatever.  He went back to his car for about 15 mintues, came back and said he's not giving me a ticket and told me to register it.  I bet he learned I was right and didn't want to admit it.....I don't give a fuck bc I'm selling the dolly, I'm sick of helping people with their broke down cars all the dam time.

Yeah, I know, trying to be a nice guy.  But the kids have a lot of end of the year stuff, and my daughter is graduating so she needs to get the car fixed to take them around to everything.

that's it,  everything moved easy and weights down to 221, still a few more pounds to go but I feel like it shouldn't be a problem.  Doing an easy water cut, want to get below 218 just incase my home scale isn't as accurate as I'd like it to be, I really hope it's not far off though, I'll be pissed if I don't make weight and I'm at the very bottom of the 242 class.

Well,  yesterday went ok, didn't get all the lifts I wanted, still destroyed all 4 state records.   Went 5 for 9 for the day.   The venue was at a cross fit/ pl gym and was ungodly hot all day.   I was non stop sweating the entire time.    I'll try to remember the numbers, I have a hard time when it comes to kg, so my numbers will be rounded
Squats
585 opener... Easy
625ish..... 2 reds due to depth
634 1 red..... still good so Ill take it
One of the judges was april mathis and she red lighted pretty much every single squat, some where hams to calves and she red lighted them... stupid

Bench
365...3 whites
407.8....2 whites... might have bounced the bar
420.... failed...it felt good going down, got halfway up then left side dipped and that wad the end of it

Dl
585... easy
2nd attempt
623lbs... failed... not sure wtf I was thinking
3rd... same... No chance

Total for the day 1627,  I was in so much pain after,  couldn't even sleep all night bc I couldn't get comfortable.   Took 1000mgs of ibuprofen,  feeling better now.   
Looking to compete in November for the veterans day meet.    Will be more conservative for 2nd attempts on dl bc I really wanted 600 on the board.
