It is a wake up call for many people how far off on their nutrition they are.   Funny, now that I can no longer claim "nattie" status, people seem to discount a lot of my advice.  Some people think it is a cop-out or distraction when I preach about the importance of nutrition.   I have said many times (and still say) that nutrition is the biggest thing holding back the majority of people.   It is also the change that has made the largest difference for me.  (yes....I mean that when I say that).

Dont feel bad about the proteinz......It took me a week of tracking to realize it too.   But, I can say that for almost 6 years straight, I have eaten no less than 200g of protein each and every day.  (I average between 210 and 240 day in and day out......)

I've read you say that, now I'm testing it.

I did yesterday with only 1/2 scoop of whey before bed, whey shakes makes getting the protein in sooo much easier.

Which is why I find it cheaper and easier to just have a couple scoops of whey.
I hit up Costco and get the MP combat powder (5lb tub) and a cytosport bag (6lb bag). MP is cookies and cream, the cyto is chocolate. One scoop each get me 54 grams. The MP is $35 and the cyto is $40 but those last me months, even if I go up to 2 shakes a day. Throughout the year the MP will be $5 off making it $30, then I'll buy a couple just to have.

Just bought some more whey, been cleaning up the old stuff out of the cupboard. No Costco here.

Eggs are on special at $.50 a dozen which is pretty cheap, but it's a bit of PITA to strain out all the yolks. Pretty versatile though, slice of cheese, a little hot sauce and some salsa makes them very palatable.

Definitely doable if you get eggs that cheap. I think it was Tim that would buy like 20 dozen eggs and separate most of the yolks out and place each serving (his servings) in zip lock bags for the freezer. I think his servings were something like 2 egg yolks to 8 egg whites or something like that.

Yep, that's about what I'm doing. When I fry them in bacon grease they taste just as good as regular scrambled eggs.

I have a buddy that just drinks them raw  :o I would rather take a little time to cook them everyday.

Not a fan of that. Plus cooking them increases the protein content that is available.

Going to give a go at macro balancing with 50% Carbs, 30% Protonz, 20% fats,

Was getting headaches from lack of carbs and that still leaves me with 183 grams of protein at 174 lbs.

That's a good move IMO.
1-1 ratio or just a little higher on protein works. Plus those extra carbs give you the fuel for lifting.
Since I work out at lunch time I get at least 1/2 my carbs in for the day before 10:45am. Since switching to that about a month ago my lifting sessions have gone a lot better.

Gave this a break over the holidays, back at it.

Had a good cutting day yesterday and was still short on protonz, think an AM protein shake will help.

I'm using it, working good for tracking my diet. I weight and include everything including small stuff like butter in the pan for eggs and condiments.  The 20cal here 30there and so on, really add up. No issues hitting proteins. I'm at about 200g protioen and 175g carbs

I was scared I was going to have to weigh every grain of rice, as that's what everyone said. Without weighing anything I lost 11 lbs in 4 weeks and I didn't feel like I lost a lot of muscle.

I think tracking is helping because it's making me more intentional about eating - even if I'm off by 3-400 calories.
