Trying My Fitness Pal

So far I'm liking it, any other regular users?

I read that you basically eat about 10 things, so once I get those 10 in it should be pretty easy.

I been using My Fitness Pal for 4.5 years now.  BigMech is my handle on there.

I eat more than 10 things, but I am pretty repetitive in what I eat, so tracking calories doesn't take up much of time.  Once you get over the initial phase of having to weight and measure everything to get a feel for portion size it becomes pretty easy.

I like log as much of my day ahead of time as I can, so I don't need to think about how much, or what I'm going to eat at each meal.

You have to weigh and measure everything? Hmm, I was just kind of guessing.

You will never know how many calories you are eating with out weighing and measuring stuff.  I know it's not fun, but it's amazing how much most people underestimate how many calories they are eating.  Once you do it for a while, you will become much better at estimating, but there are still certain things I use the scale and measuring cups for.

Been a member about 2 years but didn't really start using it until about 1 year ago.

I'm piperdown44.

I used to weigh most everything but now it's more of an eyeballing. I think I've got a good handle on portion size to the point I can maintain, lose or gain without weighing everything.
Of course lots of what I eat are pre-packaged items (you'll see lots of greek yogurt in my diary).

I didn't do so well the other day, most likely cause I didn't feel all that great.

Anyhoo, I track protein and overall cals. Once I know I'll hit my protein goals (or really close) anything else is fair game.

Looks fine by me but I'm not one for hammering on veggies or fruit  ::)
I'd think 190 grams protein would be fine or even 200, not sure why you have the goal set to 250 grams.

That's the old 1.5 grams per lb of bodyweight.

I've lost 5 lbs that I didn't want to lose so I'm doing some more fine tuning.

If that's the case then you need to drop something so you can get the protein up higher.
Dropping the smoked almonds and adding another shake would get you close and still keep fats in a good range.

I've been using MFP 5-6 years maybe. Sure beats my old nutrition notebook.

no, cmoore was taken, it's some derivative of it though. I don't remember it exaclty though. For a while I had it public but man, I got tired of being trolled and always having to explain IIFYM. It's locked down private these days.
