Honestly if you have an old bike tube kicking around you could cut that and use it like a floss band as well for the time being.

I was thinking of things that may work. That's a good idea. I have some on the way from amazon. Should be here tomorrow.

Had a pretty good session today and I'm happy with the results. Felt pretty strong overall.

was supposed to be 4 sets but I didn't read close enough. Not sure why I had 3 sets in my head though.  Anyways, that's the end of week 7. One more week and then TSA exams. I'm going to do JC for peaking and add wrapped squats in for practice. It should take me right to the meet.

Strong session Rich, your bench is looking great and was mirin those triceps on the CGBP vid! (No homo  ::) )
Solid pauses on those deads as well. Canít go wrong with peaking with JC, it was my original plan as well but see what happens with RTS.

Thanks Andrew. I really have no idea what's going on with  my hamstring. I feel some mild pain in general right where my hammie and glute meet but it doesn't seem to affect strength. It's been there for gotta be going on a month now.

Had a great day in the gym today. Everything felt strong. Hope it keeps going

Yup, everything is still good so to speak. Just been busy with march break and making maple syrup. Tons of work. I skipped day 3 of week 8. It just would have messed up what little time I have left. I'm on test week now and did squats yesterday. Still having issues with the hamstring and now my other hip is doing something weird. As I squat down there seems to be a weakness along the outside of my leg starting around the outside of my glute and extending down towards my knee. It's not a constant pain but feels like nerves being pinched slightly as I move past a certain range. I'm going to do a little research on what it may be.

Anyways, here are my last 3 sessions.

TSA week 8 day 2

warm ups

DL's

315 x 2
365 x 1

working sets

385 x 3 x 1 vid set 3

bench press

250 x 3 x 3 paused

pull ups

be +35 x 3 x 5 @ rpe 9

That session was pretty good. Form was a little off on the last set of deadlifts. I was a little high when starting the lift.



TSA week 8 day 4 ( skipped day 3)

This day also went pretty well. 270 moved faster than it felt. Pushed past the sticking point without too much problems.



On to test week. Starting with squats. I could feel in the warm ups something wasn't right. I'd hoped as I went through the weights it would resolve itself. It got a little better but that weakness played games with my head I think. I was also a little jittery from too much coffee which didn't help me. Oh well. It's done. I got my 315 and pushed for a pr at 330 but no dice. I think I just lost tightness at the bottom .

Bench test tomorrow. Hope things go well. I have to say this hamstring/hip thing is a little discouraging. I know I'll work past it. I just wish it would get better already. I'm hoping for better results than last year and I think squats will be an improvement but bench looks like it may be the same and DL's are going to really suck unless things change drastically in the next month. Anyways, that's my poor me rant. Back to the gym.....

Thanks Dave. I think I have the 330 there, just a few issues to resolve and a bit of an off day.

my right foot slipped on the first 290 attempt and that messed me up some. I also quit too soon so I had another crack at it after I unloaded the bar to re rack it.  Deads test on friday. hope it goes well.
