Strength is definitely moving in the right direction for ya Shawn.  :thumbsup:
I'll bet by the time you peak for the meet you'll have that 385x5 on squats and then 270x3 for bench.

Another awesome looking workout yesterday Shawn.  It definitely makes sense to "practice how u play" with the wraps.   It looks like you've got great strength building on the squats.  Good job on the bench too.  Having patience there (which is super tough for me) definitely seems like a good approach.  Keep building it slowly, getting and increasing your reps where you can and you'll wind up in a good spot in April. :)

Great plan from the master JTBY on implementing wraps from here on out. Youíll be crushing some heavy sets and feeling comfortable in those wraps by meet day! Those sets you did were moving fast. Good sign for things to come

Thanks Eric, the trend seems to be going up so far, thatís a good thing. Hoping to be repping over 400 by the end of this prep. Bench....meh we shall see lol

Thanks Greg, I just need to keep getting heavy for me weights on my back and figuring out my wraps along the way and I should put some ok numbers in SS. I think making smaller jumps but consistent will be a good plan. Bench is being bench, not really sure where I am but more than likely it had gone nowhere lol. Just need to squat and pull MOAR!

Thanks buddy, ya I definitely need the wrapped work, I donít know if they will ever feel ďcomfortableĒ but the more exposure the better. I found some ques on that session that helped a lot, especially thinking about forcing my knees out, when I did that the bar moved real quick. Need to work on that first rep depth, think the weights are scaring me a bit still and need to not be a pussy!

Nice work Shawn. Squats are looking good although I think you're right and you're a touch high. Could be the camera angle as well. That 270 bench was tough. A smidge more and you would have had it. It's deceptive when the last rep moved pretty good and the next one is a ton heavier.

I'm going to start incorporating wrapped work when I start JC for peaking before the meet as well. Gotta get used to it again. I haven't done any since the meet last year.

Notes: good workout today, needed a good showing mentally on deads and felt pretty good. Got all my planned reps in, my fatigue set was hard as hell and instantly hit a 9.
Floor press was a PR I guess and had more in the tank.
Hip was barking on fronts, my last set felt good with a narrower stance but we pansied out and quit there. Good enough

Thanks Rich, ya even if it was the camera angle the first reps were too high when I know I can get deeper. Donít want to leave it in the judges hands. Iíll dial those wraps in, lots of work with them coming up.
Bench is gonna bench for me lol, wee where I end up after this prep but wouldnít be surprised if I get nowhere. I am also sitting 10-15lbs lighter this prep and thatís never good for my bench.
Definitely get those wraps on, it will serve us both good in April!

Bench was lots of reps and finally reached a 10 at 235.

Good session but hip is pretty achy, hope it gets better!

Thanks! I have been wanting to put farmers in my training for a long time but just couldnít bite the bullet. It will be a great addition after the meet!

Thanks Andrew! I am just a volume pussy, it seems one fatigue set is all I need to hit my limits on squats and deads, at least so far. I guess itís ok from a time management point of view haha

Thanks Rich, I had 2 shitty comp. deadlifts sessions leading up to this one so was happy to finally get some decent pulls in! The farmers are going to be fun, been wanting these forever but just couldnít pay full price and shipping for a seasonal exercise.

Hip is still sore so tested the waters on SG SLDLís and didnít feel terrible so hit a top set of 335x5 for a 20lb PR and called it quits. Trying to push, but not destroy myself with the hip right now.
