I'm a little dude, so allot of people assume I should be pulling sumo. I gave sumo 6 months, and even pulled sumo at a meet. With lighter to moderate weight it feels much easier than traditional for me. Once it gets heavy it comes down to technique. With a traditional pull you can get ugly and grind it out, but with sumo if your heavy and technique gets ugly it's a no go. It's not easier, unless your body type dictates it to be, it's just different. But, it is definitely more technique sensitive. My best conventional pull at a meet is 500, my best sumo was 430, but 315 feels like an empty bar when I pull sumo. I also tend to WAAAAY overthink technique and become my own worst enemy at times.
