They do a good job, I'd love to do this one, we'll see. I have all my kids birthdays this summer, and all their camps they go to. The meet will run me about $300 just for the meet and hotel....so, who knows.
I don't know if you follow Bert or Mindy on FB, but they had to shut down their gym, the weight pile. I guess they've been having issues with it and the last straw was someone stealing 100lb plates!! that's some serious bullshit, sucks to think people do that kind of crap in the PL community.
I had heard about the 100lb Plates getting stolen. That absolutely sucks. What's likely the extra kick, is that if someone didn't steal it for their home gym, they were stolen for scrap metal.

I've got friends that live in Fort Myers, and they've left me a standing invitation to visit. I'd like to make the trip down there to compete in the next year or two.
Did the "old guys in blue singlets" do the NH meet this year? One of the guys is in his 80's, and the coach has to stand next to him and assure him of the squat command. If he doesn't he has no idea if he did the lift or not.
They did. I think the oldest one was in his early 90's. They each have a list on their singlet of guys they trained with that have passed on. Very cool, and at the same time, saddening. I can only hope that I'll still be doing this in 30 years.
