Following a pretty strict meal plan over here with my buddy as im about 3-4 months out from my show...
I have to eat a lot of ground turkey and chicken, yesterday me and my buddy were messing around a created a really nice recipe for ground turkey meatballs...
The sweet and spicy was inspired by a recipe I found online using brown sugar and breadcrum, but I found good subsititues, feel free to ADD anything or Subtract anything you like, as its very healthy/lean and virtually carb free for you cutters!
(If anyone could post the macros in this and calories I would appriaicte it! I dont know how to calculate it lol)
Without further ado:
Ground Turkey MeatballsCompose the delicious Frankenstein out of the following:
- 8oz of ground Turkey - (99% lean is healthier but 93% lean has some more fats = tad more flavorful BOTH work)
- 2 Tablespoons of Stevia Natural Sweetener - Gives you that sweet taste at virtually no cost
- Pepper - to your hearts desire
- Optional: 1 TBSP of egg whites - Compliments the texture (can use eggs but a lot more cholesterol)
- Optional: Your favorite seasoning
- AFTER COOKING: Throw your favorite hot sauce on afterwards, we used cholula: chipotle[/b]
- Make the ground turkey into meatball shape
- Throw on the pan and grill with either pam or oil
- Cook until golden brown and no longer pink in the middle (6-8mins on medium flame)
Please let me know how it comes out for yall! Trying new things and really want to get feedback, gotta make my meals interesting after eating the same thing all the time...
