Shoulder pain sucks  >:(

I dropped all barbell work from chest day about 6 weeks ago because of it. I only use dumbbell's now and it seems to be helping.

Yeah, might be in my future too. I'm hoping limiting my ROM a little might help. I dunno yet.
I see you had a big leg day today. My knee started to hurt just reading it. Keep killin' it man.

Thanks man.

Glad to hear your shoulder is playing nice  :)

I don't usually train on Sunday's but I'm trying to squeeze some work in b4 Wed. I'm going to spend a few days at my trailer by the lake with some cold beers - if the weather is OK. It's supposed to be. I told the wife I might take a couple db's with me - she Bert stared me.

Sunday bwt 164.0

Neutral grip pullups
bwt x 13, 9, 7  (got an extra on the front - but lost it on the back)

Power cleans
bar x 6
105x5,5,5

BB rows
140x5,5,5
115x8

Shrugs
165x6,6,6

BB curls
bar x 6
85 x 5,5,5

E-Z bar Spider curls
50x8,8,8  (3sec up, 3sec down)

No soreness in my shoulder from Fri bench. I hope I'm on to something.
Now if I can get my right knee to stop barking when I squat tomorrow.

All in all - not a bad day.

Nice work for an off day.

Did not realize anyone else here was incorporating Olympic lifts into their routine

Thanx.

Yep, my first intro to the weights was Oly lifting back in the early 60's. Competed a couple times
as a teen b4 I got drafted. I have soft spot for it, although, I haven't done much about it. I love the snatch but as I train at home with a low ceiling, I just do what I can. Flexibility ain't what it used to be.  Sad day when they dropped the press. Great upper body exercise. Oly lifters are true athletes in my book. In noticed you are getting into it. Good for you.

I need to find someone to teach me these OLY moves,  as i fail badly when trying to mimic what I see.

Great work.

I got lucky. I belong to a lifting club at work and a young Man who really knows his stuff offered to train me. The other day we did a photoshoot and he power cleaned 315  :o

Thanks. I'm sure with your strength and work ethic you would certainly excel at Oly lifting too
if you decided to do it.

315 power clean is darned impressive. I'd start picking his brain if I were you. Since you joined a club,
do you intend to eventually compete. That'd be cool.

Yes, the kid is 19, maybe 190lbs, like I said I got lucky. I don't plan to compete, got into it way too late in the game.

Ain't never too late B. Hell, I competed in bb comp at 63. You could do it. I saw your video doing
deep cleans. You could do it.

Oh, back in the 60's got to watch this guy train at Shubert's Olympic Health Club in Cleveland.

Chuck Vinci, Oly gold in '56, 60', he had incredible arms.

Forgot to post my leg day yesterday, so I'll do it today.

Sunday Bwt 164.0

Right knee is still paining me so I decided to loosen it with some front squats

Front squat
115x6x8  (felt looser but still achy)

Leg ext
60x15,15,20

BB calf raise
115x20,20,20

Not real happy with it, but I'll work thru it.

Monday Bwt 164.8

Left shoulder has been sore lately - tried a modified grip and high safeties to see what the hell.
Anyway, dropped the safeties down and tried to push it a little today and see what happens.

Bench
115x8
165x5
185x6
205x3

BB Press (shoulder felt ok)
115x8
125x5,5
135x1
140x1

DB laterals
20x8,8,8

CGBP
115x8
135x8
155x6

Rope downs (tri's)
45x8,8,9

I've got to push through these aches and pains. It's hurtin' my confidence a little.

Anyway got the wife to take some videos of todays w/o. Never posted any b4
Is the best way to use youtube? Appreciate any feedback.

Oh, any feedback or criticism on the w/o's is welcome.

Yes youtube is the best way to go with the vids.

Front squats look good for someone with a sore knee  ;)

How's the shoulder?

Do you warmup?

Do you BB's or DB's for bench?
