Didn't have time to watch videos until today.

I'll echo Fiend….way to hang in there!  Very impressive your determination to finish the events even though it looked like you were running on fumes a couple times.

Just watched the vids!  Nice work.. impressive stuff.

Car deadlift was nice, did you get more in than the video had? seemed like you may have had another 1 or 2 in you and the vid cut short. What was the total?

I may have to try one of these things as well..

Because that's what a good boyfriend does.

Congrats!  That's really cool!
Thanks! It really was a very fun day.  Some seriously amazing athletes.

Thanks! There were a few points on the events where I was running down to the last bit.  Next time, I'll plan things a bit better for food intake.

That Wheelbarrow, sucked. by the time I picked it up, the only thing I was seeing was the finish line.  I distinctly recall, feeling out of body on that one.  Oh,and I found out they didn't change the weight on the wheelbarrow from the open division.  590lbs.

Thanks! Nope, that's the full video. 17 reps. If I had known the score, (armchair quarterbacking), I would have struggled through at least 3 more and possibly moved up to 3rd.  One of those things that I learned, is to pay attention to the other competitors.

About how much weight was at the handles for the car deadlift?  There's definitely some leverage going on with the setup.  I get winded doing 10 warmup reps with 135.

And the pansies had the thing lifting the light end, not the heavy end with the engine.

Not exactly sure, as they never weighed it.  It was the gym owners car (Pro Strongman Matt Mills).  Apparently, it's been used for this quite often.  My guess is somewhere around 350lbs.

Any way to beat the system. ;)
The Car the Heavy weight guys used was a Jetta TDI.  Again, the rear wheels, but the leverage was shorter.

Really, any way you look at it, I deadlifted a car and you didn't.

I deadlifted the front of the beetle I had as a kid.  Does that count?

edit:  Gas tank was pretty low though

I ducked under a rope and picked up a strongman car at the Arnold a few years back, they had stripped out the interior and it had no windows, felt like about 200 lbs. That was a little compact at the Arnold.

Next time be like this fella:

I deadlifted a corner of a olds cutlass ceira back in high school when my dad was working on the brakes.  Did it again when he wanted to put back on the tire.  I was too dumb to know my own strength back then.

Cheater.  They add weight, he vomits equal weight back up.  All reps were done at the same weight.  Wizard.

Just watched the vids on the big screen courtesy of chromecast.  Loved seeing them.

On the medley,  was it against the rules to throw the sandbag over your shoulder and walk it down? What was the weight?  Done 100# feed bags like that in the past, and it makes it easier.

Looked like you were about to die on the car deadlift. Looked like fun.

Nice form on the Atlas stones,  did you get to practice that much prior or did you just grind it out?
