Weird deadlift feeling
« on: March 03, 2015, 10:11:13 PM »
When I'm deadliting, I try to keep my back as straight as possible. Recently, since the weight's been getting heavier, I've felt my stomach "push out" or "pinch" when bringing the weight up. I don't really know how to describe it, but it's not a good feeling. My belly button area has been hurting/aching, but I don't think it's a hernia since the pain is intermittent, doesn't get worse when I lift, and usually comes randomly (usually days after workout.) Plus I don't think my entire stomach would prolapse... anyone know what I'm talking about?

If it's the same thing I used to get (and still do occasionally), it's a strain on the abdominal wall.  I've never gotten them deadlifting though.  I had one a few weeks ago doing the ab wheel.  Nothing to worry about and they usually heal fast.  Just don't do anything to aggravate it and delay the healing.
