Ah darn. Another thing to make cardio more enjoyable is listening to Podcasts. On Iphone, you can download the app and pre-download the podcasts you want to listen to. It helps because you do not need internet connection when listening to them, unless you stream them.

You'll get there soon. I'm also heavier than you.

It may help that my leg extensions are single leg. So, I do 70 with 1 leg and then the other. I normally use them to warm up my knees for squats. I may just do a different warm up for squats and do heavy leg extensions.

Did I mention I hate cardio?  :-[ ;D

I do normally do leg extension as part of my new workout but when I do, I do them at the end after squat and leg press.  :o

I may do that as well.

Back:

T-Bar Row: 3 x 12 reps of 80lbs + w/e machine adds

Cable Row: 3 x 12 reps of 142.5lbs

Deadlift: 2 x 5 reps of 225lbs
3 x 3 reps of 275lbs

First time doing this is probably over half a year.

Lat Pulldown: 3 x 12 reps of 140lbs

Hands/grip was dead at this point so I stopped. Plus, since I haven't deadlifted in a while, my hands were kind of ripped up.

Decent workout. Deadlift was tough/felt weird, so hopefully I adjust to it quickly.

Will be doing 30 min of cardio later.

Looks like you got in a lot of good work.

Do you ever do higher rep deads or squats? I'm doing them now, well squats mostly as I've shied away from deads due to back pains, and they are murder on me.

I may go back to low rep higher weight squats and throw some low rep deads back in to test.

how does your lower back feel? That's a bit of DL weight to undertake at your stage in the game.

I've lifted for a while before, Bando. I just took a break because I got bored. IIRC, before I stopped my numbers were: 250-260 Bench, 300 Squat, and lower 400's, upper 300's Deadlift.

My lower back feels fine despite not wearing a belt because I am pretty sure my form was fine. Only thing that hurt was my hands but I think that is bar placement + lack of callouses on my hands.

Looks like you got in a lot of good work.

Any training/lifting related podcasts you enjoy or recommend?

Of the ones I've come across,  it's pretty hit or miss.

Iphone?

I don't listen to training podcasts. I can recommend some other than training podcasts, though.

I felt/feel like a pussy. I wanted to train, but I didn't think I could do much since it was a pressing day so the headache would've gotten worse if anything.

Don't feel bad, I lifted a 1,005 total on Monday and only 1,000 today. Getting more weak and frail every day  :(

Don't get down on yourself, Bando. You will kill it at the meet.
