No gym today, barely slept last night and dealt with a nasty IBS flare up this morning. Made for a real manic Monday I can tell ya.

Also the Mrs and I have booked flights to Orlando, FL for the beginning of June, woo! March 31rst to June 7th....So pumped!

Wow! 37 days in Orlando?….mind blown  :o

Bailed

IBS flare up, late to gym, forgot my workout sheets....just a rough start right there. Seen Lisa and Jim today, small chat between sets nothing too crazy. Lisa suggested it was a "free day" since I didn't have my paperwork, so I did just that!

Flex came over to help spot me on the 280.....he'll tell you it was a bad fail. I literally got it off the hooks aaaaaaaaand DROP! Not even a fight, just dropped it right on my chest. End of story! Flex was nice enough to at least pull it off of me, personally I think he should have left me like that for such a bad fail, seriously!

It's as if Hans Solo powered down the U.S.S Enterprise while in the midst of jumping into "Plaid".

 "They've gone Plaid!" ~Barf

Yes, it was that bad. To top it all off I did it again, but without Flex spotting this time, me when I worked back up to 245. So I had to do the dreaded "Roll of Shame".....FFS. Just a rough session all the way around. Thankfully I had the sissy bars up (I was benching in the squat rack) But the sissy bars sit either an inch below my chest or a couple inches above. So the "Roll of shame" wasn't soooo bad, but bad enough.

Then I did a couple sets of 135 as punishment.....

And so ended a shameful day in the world of benching. Though I was filled with joy when Flex said I was now benching as much as him.....of course he was making reference to how shit his bench was....but I'll take what I can get  ::)

Damn, Merk.  Rough day today brother.  Would the 280 have been a PR?  Seems weird to put chips on unless otherwise.

Other than your epic fails you did push some great volume.

When you don't try you'll never hit the new PR

Today didn't quite work out how I had anticipated.....

I was hoping for an early morning workout, get caught up with protocol training. But alas, IBS came to rape and pillage!

and boy did it ever!!!  :o

From there I brought our furbaby to the vets...$450 later, dropped off the Mrs to work, went and renewed my license ($95 later...fuck), and then headed into work for 11 am.

If any of you are wondering. Maya (our furbaby) needed a check up, heartworm meds, blood work, and couple other things. Long story short, it went all as planned....though I didn't expect to have him confirm she is suffering from degenerating discs in her back (which is what happened to our other greyhound Davis). We knew it was happening but hearing our worst fear on the matter come to light was a tough pill to swallow.

 It is what it is.

Tomorrow I'm gonna get into the gym before work and hopefully get in a workout I can be proud of.

135x10
185x10
225x1 -bent bar, rolling in my hand
225x2 -same thing as last set
225x10
225x10

-Incline D-bell Press-

40x10
75x10
90x6
90x6

-Single Legged Squat Press-

N/A

-Bar Dips-

+45 lbsx9
BWx8

Total Time = 45 min

I fought to get up, IBS was on the war path!, got to the gym late, losing strength....

 BUT!

I gave my workout everything I goddamned had! When I was doing the D-bell incline press I was blacking out on my last rep! I grinded out everything and left nothing in the tank.

 Looking forward to tomorrow!
