I don't do them frequently anymore, but I find it essential to do occasional forearm exercises to help with ongoing elbow tendinitis issues.

Doing wrist curls with the full length of your forearm lying on a bench (length-ways at the end of a bench, not sideways across the bench) puts a little different spin on a forearm curl and seems to isolate the forearms more.  Like at 4:16 in this video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Llsud90BNU8

There's also behind-the-back wrist curls and reverse curls (or whatever they're called, like biceps curls except with an overhand grip).  Any and all of these exercises give me a CRAZY forearm pump, the kind where you feel like you can't even bend your arms enough to comb your hair afterwards.

Another forearm exercise I like is a twisting motion.  My gym has these 5 lb bars that I hold with about 2/3 of the bar above my grip, and sit on the floor next to a bench with my forearm across the bench, and simply rotate the wrist all the way left, then all the way back to the right, back-and-forth.  This could be done at home with a hammer.  Probably doesn't do much for mass, but I can feel the stretch in my elbow tendons and it feels good.

I do high rep forearm work but I've done they since I've been 14 or so.  Never noticed a size increase until I started doing deadlifts.

Flex is a lier.

lolwut???  ;D

My last 2 back sessions I have gone heavy with high volume and after both my forearms were smoked.

I haven't measure my forearms in a while but I think they are 15.5" or so?

Anyway people comment on them lots because they're quite fucking large.

Number of times I have done and direct forearm work in the last 5 years:  0

I never do any direct forearm work.

Just lots of deads, pulldowns and rows without wrist straps.

So, you are saying you never do solo work?

And shrugs.. and farmers walks... pushing your limit when you can in regards to grip, strapping when you have too.

Boom popeye.

Try using a pair of Fat Grippz while doing biceps.
