Can't say I've ever seen anyone using it in my gym. I'm sure it wouldn't go over well.

World pusification at its finest I'm afraid! BUT they are going to start selling liquid chalk at the gym which will be ok to use, better than nothing I suppose. Though if this keeps up I might be paying a membership to Flex to go workout in his garage! There at least I know I can use chalk! (that and he has a kick ass barbell!)

I have liquid chalk.  It is OK to a point, if you are not too sweaty, but I hate the smell of it.

Also it makes a worse mess if you spill it on shit than regular chalk.

Does it leave residue on the equipment?

Good luck getting him to share said barbell.  ;)

I actually have 3 oly bars in my garage.   8)

And Ronn; that's not a bad idea to have a deadlift session at my place when the weather gets warmer.

Does it leave residue on the equipment?

If you let it dry completely not really.

But if you get any on the bench or whatever before it dries it's not easy to wipe off and leaves a stain.

Pretty sure that wouldn't go over well in my gym. Not that I'm lifting heavy enough to need it.  :o

LOL, I use chalk on almost all my lifts (of course all I do for the most part is compound lifts). Hell I practically use the shit on my toast!

I use chalk on any lift where my hands come in contact with metal.

So yeah...
