Hopefully just the way you slept. I always sleep on my side and sometimes my shoulders tend to bother me because of it. If I ever sleep on my back my arms are always above my head and I wake up and can't hardly move my arms. LOL!

That is my favourite way to sleep.  Just like babies do.   :)

Squat day.  Ohmygosh I killed me auld self.  Added 40 lbs to my squat.  Happy about this, but already sore.  I went longer on squats, so I only did cardio for 24 minutes.  Oh well.

I warmed up with 5 minutes on the treadmill, followed by lots of stretching.

Squats:
45 x 8
95 x 8
115 x 8
135 x 6
135 x 6
135 x 6
135 x 6

Cardio:
Treadmill, 24 minutes

If I am working from home tomorrow (and I really hope I am), I'll go to the gym again and do some back stuffs.

Steak sammiches for dinner tonight, but first, a very busy day with work.

Excellent work here, and quick progress on those squats!  Nice job in making time for the gym while being busy with work, not to mention all that cooking at home.

Thanks Toby!  It does get a little crazy around here at times, but I know that I just have to make time for the gym.  And 3 days a week is do-able.

October 10, 2014

Turns out I'm working from home today (hurrah!), so I was able to go do some back.  Pretty much the same as last back workout.

Close-grip Pulldowns:
90 x 10
90 x 10
90 x 10
90 x 10
90 x 10
90 x 10
90 x 10

Seated Cable Rows:
90 x 10
105 x 10
105 x 10
105 x 10
105 x 10
105 x 10
105 x 10

Hammer Strength Iso-Lateral High Rows:
55 lbs per side x 10
60 lbs per side x 10
60 lbs per side x 10
60 lbs per side x 10
60 lbs per side x 10
60 lbs per side x 10

Cardio:
Treadmill, 22 minutes

Ran a little short of time for cardio, but that's okay because I'll be cycling up to the grocery store at lunch today to fetch some produce for our Thanksgiving dinner.  Our big dinner will be tomorrow (Liam is busy on Sunday), so I'd like to get my stuffing made, pies baked, and cranberries cooked tonight, and maybe prep some of the veggies as well.

Whatever your plans this weekend, Happy Weekending!

Good job Lisa.  That's still more cardio than I've done in the past year :)

Happy Thanksgiving you guys!!!

Lisa, you're doing awesome, that's a ton of volume on heavy squats!  3 days a week for lifting sounds perfect, whatever works for you is the right way to go.

Thanks much!  3 days a week feels good for me.  Certainly more manageable and it hasn't become a "chore".  I often think of your strong lifts while I'm struggling - keeps me motivated!

Not much different over last week's back routine.

Close-grip Pulldowns:
75 x 10
90 x 10
90 x 10
90 x 10
90 x 10
90 x 10
90 x 10
90 x 10

Seated Cable Rows:
105 x 10
105 x 10
105 x 10
105 x 10
105 x 10
105 x 10

^only did 6 sets because some guy decided to plunk his arse down.  I worked in one set with him, but he took too long setting up his wrist straps, so I bailed for the Iso High Rows instead.

Hammer Strength Iso-Lateral High Rows:
55 lbs per side x 10
60 lbs per side x 10
60 lbs per side x 10
60 lbs per side x 10
60 lbs per side x 10
60 lbs per side x 10
60 lbs per side x 10
65 lbs per side x 10

^ I figured I'd add an extra 5 lbs a side and see how many reps I could get.  I got 10. :)

Cardio:
Treadmill, 33 minutes

Delighted it's Friday.  I have lots to do today, but looking forward to relaxing with Mr Flexy tonight.  Making some sort of sausage pasta for dinner - not entirely sure just what, but those are my main ingredients so I'll see what I can come up with.

Happy Weekending!
