Nice deads and I'm guessing today was bench.

On a serious note, I can't imagine losing any of my sister's and I'm sorry you're feeling down.  Happy Birthday to your beautiful sister...it will always be her special day. :)

Thanks Kimm.  I miss her all the time.

And yes, that was bench day.  lol...  I'm a dough-head!

Looks solid Lisa.  Why don't you feel like you're ready?  Stay focused, hit it as hard as you can and let the chips fall where they may.

I'm cheering for you!! ;)

Thanks Kimm.  My lifts just aren't as good as they were last August.  And, I have 7 pounds to lose if I want to be down a weight class by the meet.  Here's my dilemma:  do I weigh in Friday night (which means I really need to be down 10 or 12 lbs by meet day because I always weigh more at the end of the day) or do I weigh in Saturday morning?

If I weigh in Friday and make weight, I can eat and re-feed Friday night.  If I don't, then I need to behave Friday night.  What to do?  Re-feeding Friday night might make me stronger Saturday.

Personally I would do the weigh in Friday night so you can eat whatever you want after that.  The week before your weigh-in lower your carbs to bare minimum, cut back on sodium and keep you fluid intake up.  You could also pick up some dandelion root and use it for the entire week.  It's all natural and it's used to control fluid balance.  Do you this for an entire week before weigh-in.  This will flush all the water you're holding and you'll make weight no problem.

If you have an idea of how many carbs you normally eat in a day, I can give you a carb/sodium amount to follow that week.  I've done this for numerous strongmen and powerlifters trying to make weight. :)
