The only lift I've made progress on this cycle is bench press.  Here's today's PR of 260.  Previous was a grinder at 255.

I couldn't wait the 2 weeks.   8)

Two more from today.  +5lb PR on squat and bench press.  The bench press felt so good I did 2 sets of it and thinking maybe, just maybe 275 could be within reach in 2 weeks for the meet.  I'm thinking of 450 for squat too.

SQUAT - 440lbs (5lb PR)


BENCH - 265lbs (second set at the weight, 5lb PR)

That was the 2nd set too.  The first was faster, but I wasn't happy with the length of pause at the bottom so I posted up the purdy, 2nd one.  I'm doing 2 more sets of them tomorrow and saving up for the meet.  I'll be working up to 95% of goal for 2 sets on all 3 lifts.

That looked about right to me.  I've been pausing so long on all my sets that my touch-n-go is about the same strength.

Dan green sinks the bar into his chest a lot.  Might want to try his technique.  I think I remember him saying he launches the bar into movement with his chest using his leg drive.

I've actually thought about that lately. Once in awhile I get winded and just rest the bar on my chest, never bothers me.
