Oh man! You coulda had that 4th rep.
This is my last week before dropping my reps down by one.  Actually, this week was supposed to be a drop, but last weeks workouts sucked too bad so I repeated.  I wanted PRs all this week going into next week.  Next week the rep ranges will be 6, 4, or 2 and the knee wraps will be coming back out for the doubles.  Three weeks of those, then drop to 4, 3, 1 for two weeks, deload, mock meet.  I'm aiming for 465/265/4xx.  After that, I'll decide on whether to cut back to 165 or just stick with 181.  I feel a whole lot more comfortable at 181 and much happier with my numbers.

Every once in a while, I go on RPS's website to see if my records still stand.  I also browse around at other classes too.  2 weeks ago some dude squatted 490 in the 181s Masters 45-49.  This give me two choices.  Go after his record, or cut back to 165 and raise the bar on my 375 squat.  If I cut back to 165, I'll have a shot at all the records (squat, bench, deadlift, and total).  At 181, I'll likely only have a shot at the squat record since a 320 bench and 515 deadlift is out of my reach now.

How is it out of your reach?
Based on your numbers you've been getting you're not that far off.

My bench is around 260 now and my deadlift is still sub-400 :(

I've been thinking about this for a while tonight.  Here's what I've come up with.  I already own the record for squat @ 165 and tied for the bench.  Right now, I'd be able to take the other 2 @ 165 no problem and raise my current record.  However, I wonder how driven I'll be to progress.  If I have a target, I'll attack it.  181 it is.  I'll go over 500 in August for squat.  I'll get my deadlift unfucked and get it to a respectable lever, and I'll get my bench up there too.  My division hasn't competed in MD yet, so I'll establish the records in May for the Mid-Atlantics and aim for the worlds in August.

Man I was psyched up for this session.  For the first time this week, I was driving home without feeling tired and lazy.  I had it in my mind that I was going to PR and the more I thought of it, the more ramped I was getting driving home to Slayer, Hatebreed, Spineshank, etc.  365 was the number I was thinking of for a solid 10lb PR at 3 reps.

Then I get home and find a cardboard tube on my doorstep addressed to my wife.  It was about 8' long and weighed I guess around 50 lbs.  Hmmm...  The Crain Okie Deadlift Bar stamped on it kinda gave it away.   ;D

Lowbar Squats (sleeves & belt) - 3 reps per set, @9, 5% load drop
   325 x 3 @7.5
   350 x 3 @8.5
   365 x 3 @9.5 - +10lb rep PR! :rocker:
   345 x 3 @8.5
   345 x 3 @8.5
   345 x 3 @9

Paused Bench Press - 5 reps per set, @9, 5% load drop
   205 x 5 @7
   220 x 5 @8
   230 x 5 @10 - +5lb rep PR this was a grinder
   215 x 5 @8.5
   215 x 5 @9

Now for the bad news.  Wife wants to start her diet after the holidays and wants me to join in for the support.  :(  I guess I could stand to lose a little and keep my gains.  The bad part is no beer.  I'm thinking of maybe a compromise and no beer on weeknights.

Congrats on the PR.  I thought they looked stronger than your previous 340lb squat vid.

Awesome 2 pros in one session, bonus for the bar!

If it's any consolation starting Jan 5 I'll be on a deficit myself.

Thanks man.  I took it out of the tube so I could make sure it was okay.  It is knurled like crazy.  It'd rip skin off my hands before ever slipping out.  I can't wait to use it.  I'm thinking a good Saturday session is on the schedule.

Time to start working in a lower rep range.  I won't be able to lift on X-mas eve, so this is it until Friday.

Lowbar Squats (sleeves & belt) - 4 reps per set, @9, 5% load drop
   310 x 4 @7 - this set felt heavy for some reason :o
   325 x 4 @7.5 - better
   350 x 4 @8.5
   360 x 4 @9.5
340 x 4 @9 - wore out from previous set.  Was hoping for two sets at this weight. :-\

Paused Bench Press - 6 reps per set, @9, 5% load drop
   190 x 6 @7.5
   205 x 6 @8
   215 x 6 @8.5
   220 x 6 @9.5
   210 x 6 @9
