Your form looks real good man!!  Elbows are at a good angle, weight looks well controlled though out the entire movement.  Once I pass 315, I feel it in all my arm muscles, even bi's,  a lot of that is bc I'm gripping the bar so hard I'm purposefully activating the muscles for better support, but it really hits my bi's good.  oh...and 50 Chin-ups....great dam job!!

80 days 'til competition
Off regular training program but still hitting the chinups every day.  I finally got to 5 sets of 10.  The 10th of every set was tough but I got my chin over the bar and rode the negative down the last rep every time.  They are probably getting easier because I'm getting lighter.

Weight:  171.6 and dropping!  ;D... Still no sight of abs  :-\

Daily 50 Chinups
   bw x 10
   bw x 10
   bw x 10
   bw x 10
   bw x 10

I'm going offroading this weekend so I need to really plan out my meals to stay on track with the cut.  Usually munch on protein bars but they are full of carbs with little protein.  I'm thinking of making up some chicken and tuna salad and putting them in small containers for me to wolf down on breaks.  The good thing is I'll be burning a lot of calories since we have to scale rock cliffs to spot each other and stack rocks when we get stuck.

Yesterday's calories/macros:  1,821 calories, 117c/68f/179p

Tomorrow:  DEADLIFT DAY.  Goal is to pull 295 for 12 reps.  I hate high repping DLs but that's the target for a rep record and estimated 413lb 1RM.

Vid from the 8 repper.  I could feel my back losing it so I stopped.  the last rep was a struggle to get my shoulders back at lockout.

Great job BLK!!  We all have rough days every once in a while.  You still hit some nice numbers!

Just saw  your vid- your pulls look good.  One thing I notice is it looks like there is some bend in your right arm, I could be wrong,  if there is, be careful with that, as your lifts go up you can risk a bicep pull.  I only use a double over hand grip bc I don't want the slightest risk of that happening.

Good call.  It looks like I'm doing it after it clears my knees.  I'm not sure why I do that because my bar is well knurled.  I took this picture today...

Mirin' the 50 chinups a day.  I haven't done 50 combined since like 1993.    :o

You should try it.  Just do as many as you can throughout the day when you think about it.  Next thing you know, you'll be like cmoore doing flags and stuff :)

Seriously though, I've gotten much better in just the last week.  I started out doing sets of 8 and can bang out 10 at a time now.  Soon I'll be adding weight to them.

78 days 'til competition

Nothing new other than I actually went to my gym for only the second time since my last meet.  The place was pretty empty so I got in, got shit done, and got out.  I figure if I'm paying $10 a month I should show my pretty face there every once in a while.

Yesterday's Calories/macros:  1,874 calories, 98c/79f/191p

Weekend off then it's holiday 5/3/1+ SQUATs on Monday.  I'm doing good on my cut so I think I'll have a few beers tomorrow night when I get home from offroading.  I'm sure I'll be dehydrated and malnourished since there's not a lot of time to eat while you're bouncing all over the place.  I'll have to find some tree limbs to do my daily 50 chin-ups on 8)
