I swapped the cycle this time for less boring and I hate it.

Going back to BBB as of cycle 4. Today the bench was a killer. Wrecks me big time.
LOL... I was going to ask you about that on your thread.  I guess I got my answer. :D

I just heard back from RPS about my weight.  They said I'll compete at the weight class I weigh in at.  My cut is now officially over and I have 12 lbs to add back on in 51 days.  I'm going to love this bulk!  Sam Adams in the fridge waiting for the kids to go to bed and I'm going to eat like a king tomorrow.  I can't wait for breakfast.

Hmmm.... Sam Adams.  Good full tasting lager.

Enjoy the eating.  Interested in how your strength rebounds in the next 7 weeks.

50 days 'til competition

Day one of my new bulk.  I enjoyed half a dozen eggs with hot sausage and mozzarella, a cup of oats, double serving of protein shake with almond milk so far today.  I'll be taking the wife to her favorite restaurant tonight for her birthday that has the best crab cakes in Baltimore tonight.  I'm getting a double platter for myself and there will be no leftovers.

On with the deadz...

Cycle 2, Week 2  (3/3/3 - DEADLIFT DAY)
today's weight:  Never bothered getting on the scale :D
Conventional Deadz (pounds):
   Warmups:
   135 x 5
   160 x 5
   195 x 3

   Worksets:
   260 x 3
   275 x 3
   295 x 3 +6 (New PR )

   305 x 3 (Joker)
   325 x 3 (Joker)
   345 x 0 (Joker) :(

   275 x 3 (FSL)
260 x 3 +5 (FSL could have gotten a few more, but I'm going to cap these at 8)

BBB Deadz w/ 1 minute rest:
   160 x 10
   160 x 10
   160 x 10
   160 x 10
   160 x 10

Best part is, I was able to hold the bar on all weights with no straps!  Happy about that.  Chalk makes a big difference.

That's it.  I have a bunch of chinups and ab work to bang out tonight though.  I might just do those tomorrow with Press day.

YouTube picked up on the Van Halen and made me acknowledge turd party content.  Jack-wagons!
325 x 3
Deadlift - 325 x 3

345 attempt
Deadlift - 345 fail

Nice deadz man. Congrats on the +6 @ 295.

When I saw the 345 going up I thought you were gonna get it. Next time. 8)

Damn good volume on deads.  If yer back and forearms aren't smoked tomorrow, I'd be surprised.   Either way,  serious work being done here.  ;D

I thought you had that 345 too! Nice PR though, I found chalk helps a lot too with grip. I only switched from straps to mixed grip about a month or 2 ago....

Thanks, everyone!  I appreciate all the support you guys offer.

49 days 'til competition

My back was fine this morning from yesterdays dead session, but the 3 hours spent cutting up the wood that's been in my backyard since the big ice storm really made my back sore.  I laid down for a few hours after I did the yard work before getting up the motivation to head to the basement and knock out some presses.  Felt pretty good considering I had to clean the bar from the floor instead of picking it up from a rack.

Cycle 2, Week 2  (3/3/3 - PRESS DAY)
Today's weight:  170.2
Press (pounds):
   Warmups:
   50 x 5
   65 x 5
   75 x 3

   Worksets:
   100 x 3
   110 x 3
   115 x 3 +5

   125 x 3 (Joker)
   135 x 3 (Joker)
   140 x 1 (Joker)

   110 x 3 (FSL)
   100 x 3 +8 (FSL)

BBB Press / BW chins superset:
   65 x 10 / 8
   65 x 10 / 7
   65 x 10 / 5
   65 x 10 / 5
   65 x 10 / 4

My right knee has been giving my problems for a while now since torquing it while stacking firewood a few months ago.  It never bothers me in the gym even when squatting, but it's been nagging me.  I ordered a set of knee sleeves from andersonspowerlifting Thursday night, and they came in the mail today already.  I'm going to test them out on Monday if the snow isn't too bad.  I can't use them in my competition, but I can wear them between attempts to keep my knees warm and slide them down to my shins when squatting.

Now if I can just get Inzer to send me the rest of my stuff.  Two weeks and nothing yet.>:(

May have to invest at some point in my life in some sleeves.

Good idea to slide them down.

Let us know how you get on.

Nice Pressing there. Big numbers.
