Looks like you're getting back into it now.

How's the house selling going? You were putting it on the market right?

Thank, Eric.  Training felt good today.  I went higher on the box squat than I thought I'd get to.  The plan was to get to 250 but my math skillz suck with a 62lb bar (I round down to 60 to log easier).  I put 10's on the ends and should have put on 5's.

We have a lot more work to do on the house.  We were ready to sell/rent it fast, like within a month when we tried buying one house.  It was a foreclosure that last sold at $840k.  The bank had it on the market for a month at $540k and it didn't move but it was over the limit we set for ourselves.  Then they dropped it to $490 and we put in an offer but so did about a dozen other people.  We weren't able to re-bid higher.  The place was HUGE and probably more than we could handle cleaning-wise until my girls get to the labor ages (soon  :graucho:).  Oh well, we'll look again come spring time and the house should be ready to put up then.

I'm almost finished 100% with the basement once I can poly the stairs and we get my wife's cousin over to put down carpet (another training interruption since I'll need to take down the rack).  We just have a remnant covering most of it now.  We got a great estimate on getting new shingles put down on the roof.  We were thinking it'd cost close to 10k since that's what our neighbor paid.  They gave us a 3.8k price and I said do it!  Other than that, a few fence posts to replace, a few interior doors need replacing, and some paint here and there.  Not much, just time.

That bar would throw me off too! Such an odd weight. And I'm not good at doing numbers on the fly when trying to concentrate on what I need to do with my lifting.

Uggh! I hate getting a house ready to sell. So much to do and most of the time it's stuff I should have been doing all along. Sounds like you have some time to finish up the remainder. That's a good price on the roof and will certainly help with resell.

Never ceases to amaze me the different prices of homes in different areas. $490 would get you a huge home here in the KC area, heck on a golf course almost new construction on the Missouri side.
$490k where I grew up in Idaho would get you  about 5000 sq feet and a couple acres in a high end community. Out in the country more like 6000 sq ft and at least 20 acres.

That's one of the reasons my wife and I excluded me looking for jobs on the coasts. Of course that was years ago when looking at the average salary versus experience. But even now, I'd either have to work for a defense contractor or get on as a GS-15 to meet the requirements for buying a similar house like we have now.

The tech jobs in the Baltimore-Washington area really drive up the home prices here.  We looked into getting me closer to work to save me the commute, but decided to stay out in the sticks of N. Maryland almost in PA.  More house, more land, quieter, for less money.

Makes sense. Damn techies!
Sad that I will never find a job in my home state. There just aren't any there for what I do.
A friend of mine is relocating from outside Boston to New Orleans. She is thrilled with housing prices compared to MA, even with a housing shortage in NO.

If I got 60 minutes of sleep last night I'd be lucky.  I was considering just getting up and going into work it was so bad.  Not sure what's going on but the night before going back to work after a weekend is getting worse and worse.  This is one reason why I changed from Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri to Tues/Wed/Fri/Sat.  The only reason I'm doing it differently is because I'm taking the family on one last summer vacation since school is out next Monday and Tuesday.  Plus, resort rates drop after Labor Day. ;)  I want to get as many training sessions in as I can before taking a short rest again.

Paused Bench Press - x5, @8, 7-10% load drop (10%)
   45 x 2 x 10
   95 x 5
   135 x 5
   165 x 3
   195 x 1

   205 x 5 @6
   220 x 5 @7.5
   230 x 5 @9.5  :o drop 10%
   205 x 5 @7
   205 x 5 @7
   205 x 5 @7.5
   205 x 5 @7.5
   205 x 5 @8
NOTES:  The 230 set proves I was sleep deprived.  A man with all his marbles would have tried a 5lb jump after an @7.5 to get an @8 on the next set instead of a 10lb jump.  The 230x5 was only 5lb off from equaling a rep PR though so I got that going for me.  I feel my bench coming back and I think the volume is playing a huge role in it.

CGBP
   135 x 8
   155 x 8
   165 x 8
   175 x 8
NOTES:  The benching took a lot out of me when I got to these.

OHP
   45 x 10
   65 x 5

   85 x 8
   95 x 8
   105 x 8
   115 x 6  :-[

Pullups

Dude, hope you can get some sleep tonight.

 Solid training session FYI
