Thanks, guys.  The plan was to work up to a couple of sets with 435, but when I got there, it felt soooo gooooood.  I decided to make it a small PR day and loaded up a 10 and a pair of 5s on the end for 445 and a 5 lb PR.  I looked at the bar and thought how pretty 25s would be on there instead so I put them on.  Again, it felt heavy on the way down, but the wraps really helped coming up.  I just need to keep putting heavy shit on my back for confidence.

Hopefully, by next year I'll be able to put all my 45lb plates on the bar for a cool 495.  I will repeat the weight again next week and if it still feels good, I'll shoot for 465+ in the meet.  No record, but good for 2nd.    I'll try to go for the record next May I think.

You're in a different division.  I'm an old fart.  Besides, you'll likely pass me up on deadlifts.

 old fart or not you have seriously won my respect! (actually you did that awhile ago, but thats besides the point!)

 So....your on my short term bucket list of people to beat.

 Deads....maybe. I'm hit and miss with those (ask Flex). I either crank them out hard or completely bomb out just off the floor....there is no grinding middle. Besides my best is 450....I doubt I'm gonna come close to that this time around.

 Plus you are 40lbs less!

 I cannot wait to watch you kick some serious ass at the comp!!!!  8)

Both sets of 275.  Ugly, but it went up both times.  The bar speed on the video is faster than it seemed when I did them.  It felt harder than it looked.

I had a little bit of false hope today when I got home from work.  EliteFTS has a special going on where you get free Croc Lock collars when you buy the SS yoke bar (regular collars won't work).  I saw the Croc Locks on the coffee table when I got home and started running around looking for a matching 8' box.  They shipped them separate though so I didn't get to play with a new toy today.  Still got work done though.  8)
