Deads do not give you width, they give you thickness as do BOR

taper looks great, and traps don't suck either.

I can do like 25.

My heavy/thick calves weigh me down.  ;)

Pull ups have been my favorite for width also.

Don't forget to hold at peak contraction, do slow negatives on pullups/pulldowns. I don't do every set that way, but most of them I do. Again.....I swear by straps and pull from the armpits.

Good point on the straps nut. I never thought to use them on p/u's - duh.
Gonna try some. I think my lack grip strength might holding me back a little.

I use straps because of tennis elbow issues. They also help me ensure I'm pulling with my back and not my arms.

If I go at them fresh, after a quick warm-up, I can bang out about 13 before my form goes south. I do them after deads usually, so 10 is a challenge.

I spent a while trying to add weight. I got too anxious and my form really started to suck, so I started over. Same goes for chin-ups.

I'm just now adding weight back into my chin-ups. Pull-ups aren't quite ready for weight yet.

Another tip on pulling movements....I place my thumbs  on same side with fingers, Also on some pulls I flick my wrists inwards....it actually activates the Lats.

Yup, this simple thing, helps remove (to an extent) the bicep from the movement.

What exactly do you mean by 'flick my wrists inwards'? I think that's how I do them. I use the v-handle for seated rows.

See if I can describe inwards....if your hands were facing your legs......bend your wrist so that the palm was now facing down.....that movement, especially when using versa Gripps/straps....will take most of the forearms and biceps out.

I use a handle that looks kind of like the one ^^^^^ but is slightly angled down like you describe - I LOVE IT! So much better contraction.

Ok, I think I gotcha. We have a Hammer Strength plate load row machine something like this.

And we also have a cable row with dual pulleys and handles. I'll give this a try.
Thanks
