SMB5 went off without a hitch.  Stressful, but smooth and everyone had a great time.

Monday, I hit Bench, and worked up to a 315x3, then 365x1 in the Maddog Slingshot, then 405 in the Metal Jack shirt.  Missed 425. Was still ahving minor issues with my BPPV.  When laying on the Bench, I couldn't look to the right, so I had to set my hands by feel.

Wednesday, I squatted.  Was still ahving little issues with balance and lasting effects of the BPPV. Worked up to 405x1 with only a belt.  495x1 w/ Wraps and a Belt. Suited up, and went 585x1 and 675x1.  Missed Depth by 2 inches, but was a solid squat.

And Thursday, I had no issues with BPPV.  Seems teh Heavy squats sorted it out.

Much like life, when there's a problem, Squat heavy and it rights the ship.

RPS Iron Warrior yesterday.

Missed my opening Squat by a smidge.  HIt it on my second attempt 530.  Went 550 for a third, all whites.  Opening Bench was 320, and 3 whites. second attempt was 345, for 3 whites.  Third attempt, I Shirted up and went 390 for 3 whites.  4th attempt, I went 415 for another 3 whites.  Deads, I was sloppy durign warm-ups (lesson!), and felt something ping in my left hamstring, pulling 5 plates.  Took my opener at 575, and called it a day.

Weighed in at 249lbs.

Not many thoughts, other than I enjoyed the day, and had a good Meet.  Another one in the Books, and it's time to focus on January and Resurgence.  Aiming for a mid 1700lb total there, in Gear.

Today, I'm tired and irritable.

Videos when my phone stops acting up and being bitchy.

kicking the dust off this and getting back up to speed.

Not sure how many people know, but I didn't compete at the Gear: Resurgence Meet in January.  I was pretty sick and barely able to function.  A week later, I went to the ER and landed in the Critical Care unit for 4 days.  2 doctors told me I should have been dead.  Quite the scary set of days.
Acute Respiratoy distress, Severe Pneumonia, Enlarged heart, BP 160/120, resting heart rate was 120+ beats/minute, right lung was filled with fluid, left lung was 70% filled.  I couldn't string a few sentences together without running out of air.

I was in a bad state.

4 days later after, massive amount of IV anti-biotics, pills, bed rest, and crap food, I was released with a packet full of prescriptions and I was 24lbs lighter.  Currently 240lbs. :(  Was told, that I shouldn't see the inside of a gym for 6 weeks, and then only light working.

Follow-up with the Doc last week, and I was much better, but still had some residual issues with the lower portion of my lungs.  DOc wasn't sure if it was remaining fluid or permanent scarring.  I'd had Pnuemonia for nearly 2 months, so it could be either situation.  I have CT scans on Wednesday night to see what is in there.

After follow-up with the Doc this week, I'll know more.

I did make a trip to NJ to assist at Meet yesterday, as I need to keep my head straight. It was good, except the 10 hours of driving round trip.

For now, it looks like November before I'll step back on the platform, provided i don't relapse.

Of a sarcasticly good note, back in January, with pnuemonia and partially blocked lungs, I squatted 635.  Now to see what I Can do when I'm healthy.

Do you think your "supplements" contributed to the health scare?

It's possible, but I think it was more that I came down with it and never went and got it sorted.  I'm very careful with injections, and getting it straight into a muscle.
There is that chance, though, stubbornness likely plays a bigger reason.

Thanks! I'll slowly be workign to get back to where I was.

Every time I watch you squat 6+ plates, my hopes and dreams die a little more. :D

But, no, I won't be competing until later this year.

but, this gives me time to plan where, so, yes, we will step on the same platform again.
