Nice Job Man.

I'm hesitant to comment on 1RM form since we all get sloppy on 1RM's. But that bar was way the hell out in front of you, so the lift was all back. If you get that barbell over your shoelaces and get more leg drive you could rep it.

But 500 lbs is 500 lbs regardless, welcome to the 1/4 ton club 8)

Thank you sir. I've been playing with bar placement a lot lately. I used to keep it tight and hug my legs all the way up but I've read you want it out further than that. Trying to find the sweet spot.

If your sweet spot is farther out, no skin off my knees. I deadlift rippetoe. The muscles in your  legs are twice as strong/large as the ones in your back. For me it's an easy call.

Oh I wasn't disagreeing with you, I was just saying I haven't found it yet.

Good lift!!  That bar did look a little bit out in front of you, but you still pulled it.  I'm constantly working on my technique and setup.  You might try video taping from the side to get a better look at what's going on.  I generally video tape every deadlift workout and I watch each lift after I complete it before I do my next set.  It really helps a lot IMO.
