well today was shit, did a little flat BB, worked up to 365, failed that...which I should never have an issue with. My fucking dimwit of a partner just stared while the weight sat on my chest.  Once it was racked, I grabbed my shit, went and showered and back to work.

today's not a good day.

almost done with the 2nd week, so I've been off for almost 4 weeks.  :(

REDEMPTION DAY MUTHAPHUCKERS!!

Decided to squat again, because if you want to squat more your got to squat more!
I also want to get used to low bar so this is all low bar...keep in mind Monday I failed 495 high bar(which I've never failed before, like I said...shit week up to today)

So I'm just a little exited, only my  2nd day squatting low bar and I'm getting right back where I should be.  Depth was a tad high on 585, but the weight moved decently and I felt good.  One thing that sucks is trying to rack and unrack in low bar because I squat with my feet as wide as possible. Gotta drop the rack lower.

used the stiff bar today
135x5
225x2x5
315x5
425x5 (pull the first 2 reps dbl overhand, on the second rep lost my grip, the weights hit the ground then bounced into my shins...that fucking hurt)
525x3x3 (reset between each rep to make it harder so I wasn't playing off the bounce)
425x9 (bc 3x3 is boring on light weight)

did some air walking, pull ups and pull downs, but my left Bi was hurting really bad so I quit,  ended up taking 1000mg of IB so pain would stop.  I think most of it is due to low bar yesterday bc I was feeling a lot of pressure on my elbow area during squats)

shitty day, my left arm is really hurting, I have a pretty good suspicion it's from low bar,  all the tendons around the elbow feel terrible.....to the point I'm tossing back 800mg of IB at a time.  Did  little benching, attempted 365....and that was it, the pain was terrible.  I guess I need to work on my low bar and get better left arm positioning.

Well that just sucks!
My shoulders are what kill me on squats, getting into position. Can't say I've ever had elbow issues. Of course I'm not pushing you kind of weight, so there is that.
Where are you placing your hands?

Iíve been having elbow pain also
And I think mine is from squatting also.  For me itís on the right elbow on the outside. I noticed when I was highbar squatting that exact area cramped up. Since then I adjusted my grip width on the squat a few inches wider and I also stopped trying to get my arms so vertical under the bar. I let my arms rotat back a bit. I know itís probably not recommended but if it keeps me pain free Iíll do it. Good luck with yours. Fucking elbow pain sucks for powerlifting

Are you wearing elbow sleeves?  If not, get the neoprene ones from Slingshot or similar.  That might help, but not 100%.

Thanks Guys.  I put my pointer fingers on the rings, so I think I'll slide out as far as possible.  I do have sbd elbow sleeves that I wear benching and I may have to start wearing them for squats.  Today was bench day, but I skipped bc I had an interview this morning and didn't get to work until 11.  It's probably better to lay off an extra day and let me elbow heal.

whelp that's all for low bar, I'm done.  Worked up to 2 sets at 405 for 5 reps each then 495 and the pain in my left elbow became so excruciating I couldn't bear it anymore.  Now I know the rest of my week is fucked for anything upper body.   It really sucks bc I can move 585 fairly easily in low bar compared to high bar, but oh well.

I think the bar must be sitting on a nerve in low bar bc the pain goes from my shoulder blade, through my front delt, through my bi....all over my phuck elbow and I can feel it in my wrist and fingers...da phuck!?





Oh, btw...please don't curse on my journal, my work websense picks that up and blocks me from going to my journal....this isn't aimed at any particular person,  it's mainly my own fault since I've done it to myself several times, lol.

lifting today was a huge mistake,  did some seated OHP up to 225 and some hammer strength shoulder presses up to 270 and my elbow went straight to shit, fucking debilitating pain again. Guess it's time to deload, aka, not lift at all for a week and hope for the best

Can I pull dead's with a bum elbow?? We shall soon find out, I just swallowed some IB so...I'll let you know soon.  ION I'm off work after today until next Wednesday, no reason, just burning time, so if my elbow gets inflamed again then I will have time to heal. I'll most likely take the next week off the gym anyways bc pretty much everything else is fucking up my elbow.

Been having bad elbow pain lately as well. Diagnosed via Youtube as Golfer's elbow. Pulled out my old elbow dildo last night and already getting some relief.
