Won't lie, I'm pretty bummed.

I can understand you feeling bummed, but gosh, don't let a statue take away from the awesome day you had.  You smashed your PRs and really had an outstanding meet.

I'm in the 40-44 and will be 220. Are you competing in NY in August?

Don't go up against this guy Merk. Cut off a limb to get in a lower class or eat a cinder block to get in a higher class.

Nice. Good luck! (You have nothing to worry about I can't squat and am missing an arm so my bench is only half what it could be)

Thanks Lisa! It wasn't so much the statue and the 1rst place that bothered me. I walked into this with no expectations at all and didn't give two about getting a trophy or a placing....

I'm bummed about having to tell my Dad more than anything.

The logical part of my brain is telling me to heed your warning

The shit disturber part of my brain however is saying

 "BRING IT ON FUCKER!"

....did I mention I'm not too logical of a guy?

If your dad is anything like mine, he'd be fine with a promise to keep working and go out and try again.  My mom on the other hand, wants to know if I broke any records. ::)
