Sadly my name is nowhere to be found......    I just am not feeling so much pressure anymore to compete outside my local meets and on a national level anymore.   Ive become pretty comfortable in just being 'me' without needing to reference myself to others.   Part of me is really feeling the joy of 'just being'.   A lot of things in my life have come together for me and I find I am becoming more and more focused on my kids activities.   It is weird....in one way, I feel I am fading into the background, but another part of me enjoys it.   Funny.....life keeps ever evolving.   I am more open-minded than ever that I will never say never to anything.

I do guarantee you all this.   I would love to be there to support each and every one of you(and have a few beers) at the Rochester meet.....it just never seems to fall right.   Hell....I would compete too...just as I was good/bad/indifferent.

Thanks as you guys have been part of my journey to find whatever it is I am going for :D

That's a solid total. Are these gym totals or at a meet?

oh, that sucks, I was hoping age would help.  I just went to RUM down here and Dan Green was there and everyone in his class were beasts...shit.   These guys openers were all well above my maxes.

Thanks John, these are gym numbers, I realize it's a lot different than meets.  Just trying to get a general idea of how they fell,  didn't realize I'd be up against Dan Green type of lifters..

GnF, don't let those stats turn you off.  Internationally ranked lifters aren't in every meet.  In my small state, probably never.  Even if Dan Green was there, I'd bet he'd be yelling and cheering you on.  One thing I found is having a meet scheduled makes you train harder and less willing to let stuff get in the way of training.

At the Arnold, Layne Norton was tied with LS McClain going into the final lift.  LS missed his attempt and was clearly seen just offstage clapping and rooting for Layne.  Very impressive show of sportsmanship.

Yeah,  when I met Dan Green at RUM, he was a seriously down to earth nice guy.  I could have asked for a pic,  but i feel weird asking when they aren't working a both for that type of stuff.  He was there to lift,  but was more than happy to meet a fan.

Well, GnF.

Nut up, or Shut up.

http://meets.revolutionpowerlifting.com/2015/05/30/redemption/

And, you won't be in the open, you can register in the Submaster class.

Current RPS World Records for Submaster Raw Modern 242lb class, are:

560/390/605 & 1485

Current RPS World Records for Submaster Raw Classic 242lb class, are:
560/425/580 & 1495

Redemption is a great Meet, and it's run by two great people.  Bert & Mindy Underwood, whom I know casually.  I have friends that are competing there as well.

You've got a bit more than 10 weeks (73 days) to mentally prepare for it.  If you don't Step Up and Do It, you Never Will.

Do not fear The Iron, for it does not care.
The Iron is Resolute in Purpose, Steadfast in Intent, Unwavering in Desire, and Immovable in Stature.
Unless acted upon by a Superior Force.
Squat: 545; Bench: 350; Deadlift: 610; Total: 1490

Bolded.....dammit, I've been hearing that a lot lately!

Thanks for posting, I'm going to look into that meet, with my training, 10 weeks is definitely doable.

Watch you slip away into oblivion
I can't wait to see your flesh turn pale
When I hear the last breath you take fail...
