Last deadlift session before the comp.  Really wanted to pull at least 600 and was hoping for 610.

Maxxed out at 570; failed on 590 several times before throwing in the towel.

This morning was my first lifting session since the disastrous competition.

Felt like I had never done this before.

Did bench press and tricep pressdowns.  Bench was rough.

How's the leg feeling?

I'm sure you'll be back in the groove no time flat  ;)

Not good.  Still having issues standing up from a seated position, and getting out of the car.

Also I have a lot of pain in my lower abs.  Yes I have abs.  They just buried.

That doesn't sound good. Partial tear possibly?
It'll take time but hopefully it will continue to feel better. I've always heard 12-14 weeks for a tear to heal, if it's muscle.

I tore my adductor on Sunday. I've been dealing with this all year and I suspect its the third time but this time was far worse. Sounded like when you tear chicken. It happened this time because I got back under the bar squatting too soon and didn't address the root cause of the tear ( for me its weak quads ).

My advice, take it slow even if it's feeling better. Far too easy to re-injure yourself. Not to mention collecting scar tissue each time becomes an issue. Many ways to work around an injury and it might even be a good thing to strengthen some weaknesses, we all have them.

Hope it's feeling better! Was good to see you and Lisa. My oldest daughter said later that you looked so much stronger than me. I said he is...
