Bench Night.
Feeling much more confident and on the right path.
Worked Bench up to 2 sets, 275x5.  This is a milestone for me, as it's the realization that my Bench is finally going somewhere. I'm repping 275 for sets.

Hit SHoulders for higher reps.
50lb Dbell's for 3sets, 8 reps each
40's for 4 sets of side laterals.

Ran out of time, due to too much talking.

Shoulder work is paying off.  365 in NJ?

Looking like it may happen.  Gotta keep pushing my Bench, as it has to make up for my Squat being so far behind Flex'
Although, I'll be up a weight class, so maybe the extra Mass will help my Squat and my Deads to maybe, beat him for a Second time.

Very happy with the SHoulder work, and the Slingshot work.

My Journey to 275lbs is not going well.

Stepped on the scale, after breakfast, and was 243.4lbs.  Grrr.... Was hoping to be 260 by November....

Looks like more calories, and heavier lifting is the Plan.

275..fuark!  I hit 257 last year before the meet and hated it.  I'm slowly dropping, may compete in 220 in Nov , but still want at least 1650 total.  I'm sitting at 240ish now and still hate the gut.

Well, I don't have a gut any more, thanks to my Valkyrie. She does my food prep, and I've leaned out.  She's also the reason why I can't gain anything. :)  All that clean eating she's got me doing, I'm stronger, and leaner....

Since all the Benches were taken on Bench Night, I opted for SHoulders.

Still Struggle with OHP.
3x155x6 reps

Couldn't get 175 overhead.

Seated DBell Press, worked up to 3 sets of 75s x 6
Side Laterals - 3x40x6

Tricep Pressdowns
90x8
100x6
110x3

Crossovers (Haven't done these in a year or more)
80x6
100x6
110x4

Solid shoulder session Alex. Getting up to 275 seems to be a challenge, maybe lighter and stronger is the way to go?

I can see it now...
Valkyrie "WHAT are you eating?!!"
Alex "Mrrph, uh, nothing!"
Valkyrie "Is that an Snickers Ice Cream bar?!"
Alex "Uh, no"
Valkyri "Yes it is, don't try and fool me!"
Alex "But, but, but sweetie I want to be 275......"  ;D

Is that standing OHP you're having trouble with or seated? If it's standing might just be a hand position issue. Took me a while to find my sweet spot on hand position that gave me the best generation of power. It ended up being my hands in just around an inch and it made all the difference in the world.

yup, makes a big diff, I put my hands right outside the smooth part of the bar which lets my tris take on most of the load.

Piperdown, I'm not going to say that has or has not happened....

Thanks guys, I'll work on experimenting with hand placement.  That may likely be the key. Or I just have weak shoulders. :(

Last night, was Deads.
worked up to 3x405x6
and a 465 Single.

Then Shrugs.
worked to 4x405x6, 1x465x5, 1x495x4

Ran out of time due to kiddo getting sick in the daycare.
