Bummer about the mental game Alex, must be tough when the phone is blowing up as well. Good thing about training in my dungeon I guess but it's tough to get motivated by myself sometimes.
Nice work on the 275x5x3!
Thanks! With Gene being quiet, it seems everyone calls me.

Could always make a trip to Herc and train Monday. Open all day  :P
5 hours drive, plus my office is open on Monday. :(  Have to work.
But yes, it's time for a road trip to train at a different gym for a day.

Not Herc, but I'm excited to go up there in October.

cough....cough...

It's a bit dusty and quiet in here.  Haven't been logging my training, due to hectic life.

But, Saturday, was Leg day, and I cranked 405 for 8.  Yesterday was Bench Day, and worked up to 365x5 with the Maddog Slingshot.  Tonight, was the first time I deadlifted since the Strongman comp.  545 moved well, but 585 only made it to my Knees.

I'll try to keep this up, but with a Meet next weekend (Hellbound at Hellbent), Women's Worlds, and Supreme Iron Warrior the FOllowing weekend, then right into October.  October 7th, I'm working at the BB Show that Cape Cod Nutrition puts on every year.  Oct 14th & 15th, is the Power Challenge, October 21st is Sabrina's Meet at Syracuse.  Then a few weeks off and It's Autumn Apocalypse where I compete.  November 18th, is InsurreXtion on Long Island.  Then Thanksgiving.  December 4th is tentatively the Lump of Coal. December 9th is the King & Queen of the Bench.  Christmas, New Years, and on January 20th is the Worcester County Strength Bounty 2.  The following weekend, I'm in NJ all weekend for another Meet...

And it looks like I'll be running 5 Meets next year.  3 Beginner Meets, and 1 open Push/Pull, and Possibly Lump of Coal and/or King & Queen of the Bench.

Busy?  Nope, not at all.

No worries, I'll still post a total to compare.  Might help you rehab knowing it's going to be very close.  Sabrina and I have figured out that, we can't compete at the same Meet, as it takes too much for both of us to handle it.  So, I'll likely time my following Meet to coincide with your return to the platform, and we can go head to head.

Yesterday, I did some Pretty Boy work in the gym.  Bi's and Tri's.  Forgot how good that pump feels when your arms blow up in size.

Oh, and the push to 275 is going well.  8 weeks, and 20lbs to go.

Picked up a new toy for the gym today.

150x6 on the cable row, is much tougher now. Wicked forearm pump, though.

Back night went went well... It's funny how people see 275 on the bar and assume I'm deadlifting.  When I say "Rowing" they look a bit stunned.

It's actually smaller than it looks.
Use it on Cable Rows, or Pull downs.  Works Finger Strength and forearm strength.

Made it to the Gym once last week.  This week is looking a little better though.

Oh, and here's a picture of Alex and his new Porsche 911:

Which looks amazingly similar to the videos of Alex's 1605 Total.

I don't think I've ever watched that movie in it's entirety.  Probably should, seeing as how it's a classic now.

Bench night, last night.

worked up to 315x4
Then Close Grip 225x8x3

Laterals and Dumbell OHP.

Right shoulder is grumpy this morning.

Tonight, will be Back Night.

Starting to think that my original Goal is far out of reach.  I need to cut back on a few things in life and get more time for training.

It looks like Candy (when she moves to the Cape), will be training more on her own.  As well, the young lady I started training back in July, just got dumped by her boyfriend, and she's wandering away from the Gym. She wants to run more Spartan races.

The young guy I was training for October, is almost done, and he will be moving back to CT in December.

So, I'll be back to just Sabrina and I.

Shoulder feels really banged up this morning.

Sounds like the strength trainers version of empty nest.
