Interdasting.  I know there are feds that don't use a start command, but I don't know which ones.  And sinking the bar in your chest can be ok, too.  Ugly as heck lift though.

That's a bit more penor than I was expecting to see tonight :o

And sinking the bar in your chest can be ok, too.

That was my wtf moment. Also, waited for the lockout but didn't demonstrate control before the rack command.

If control can be defined as:

Did you manage to kill yourself at any point during this lift? Yes / No

Then he was totally under control  ;)

I always think of Dan Green as someone who sinks into his chest quite a bit.  But he does it REALLY WELL and in control, unlike other people lol.

That's what I was going to say.  Dan Green is a big chest sinker.  It's a tricky technique though bc you have to sink it before the push command, otherwise it's a red.  I don't know if I've seen anyone other than Dan Green pull it off well.

Hoonstra sinks quite a bit, but who the fuck wouldn't with 600lbs on the bar.

Some feds have no start, some are pretty loose about sinking, but this kids bench looked ugly.  Either way he still benches more than me.  Bando's just jelly.

The lifter is 241 lbs and it's a 342 bench, I would be jelly if he was 165...

lmao!!  I didn't realize what his weight was...there's nothing to be jelly of there.

Yeah, I think Jeremy's sink is more bc of the weight on the bar.  He doesn't sink on lighter weights, at least not while I was training with him, he may have changed his form since then though.

Oh god that was Ugly.

In a recent SPF Meet, they did away with the Start command.  There were lifters, that their hand off guy helped them lower it almost to their chest. It fit within their rules, so it was allowed.

SPF Just started two new division.  Slingshot division, and Deadlift w/ Straps.  So, at this point, I would believe anything is really possible.

I agree not the prettiest lift but FFS hes a kid lifting pretty good weight. If he sticks w/ it he'll get better form with heavier weights.

Bunch of old grumps here  :P

I played around with sinking briefly, but decided I was just setting myself up for reds by heaving  ;D

I'm holding out for the Tow Truck Bench division, where I bench behind a tow truck and it just pulls the weight up off me.
