Biggest goal this year is to fix my deadlift, which has been lagging for half a year now.  First two things I'm doing to get on that path is to see a good chiro this month and also just plain pull myself up by the bootstraps and start moving some heavier weight again.

I want (please, please, pretty please!) to bench 135 gracefully and with judges' approval.

I love that your goal is to do it gracefully.  I'm happy if I'm turning purple and peeing my pants and somehow still manage to get the weight up, if I tried to do something gracefully nobody would even recognize me  ;D

Need to add another after attempting a squat day this morning. Avoid knee surgery. Had to bail on squats today. Knees just couldn't take it. Since its internationa bench day I'll bench tonight.

Knees or no knees 1,400 total is still on the table for this years goals.

I think I've managed the lift twice, and each time was rather rocky - neither would have been up to snuff in a comp.  But one of the times was particularly bad, and I think there's a video that Merkley took.  We laughed so hard at that crazy lift - it took forever to go up!

LOL that's great  ;D  I did a bench seminar with Rheta a year or so ago, had one press that took so long to finish she told me after "That took so long I ran out of stuff to yell at you!!!!"

Improve my current total of 1075 to 1175 in Utica this spring. 375/250/550 is the goal. Another goal for me is to have more balance in my life. I tend to get overly focused and one dimensional. I want to do a few dirtbike races this year and also do more fun things with the family, at least one good vacation.

Lisa's 245 squat was like that too.  Took forever.  MY buddy recorded it and he was like "yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep  yep yep yep yepyep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep "

The vid is hilarious.

Let me see here...

-Get below the 200's (I'm having a real hard time getting my shit together with this.....)
-Being able to stay consistent with my eating and training.
 -500/325/525 (competition)

To not sweat the small problems. Enjoy the small victories. Stay out of the hospital. And finally to lift more at the end of the year than I do right now.

My goal for the first half of this year is to keep eating right and get down into the 10-12% bf range. I made this a goal to reach by my 50th B-day, a couple years ago. This July is the deadline so I'm trying harder than ever now.

After that, it's up in the air. I still want to put on muscle and lift at least in the 85-90% range of my heaviest lifts. I no longer care about breaking that 300 bench or the 405 deadlift. My body feels better since I stopped trying that. I really want to get to a point where I am happy with how I look ( I know - who am I kidding  ;) ) and my body doesn't continually ache with some injury.

still trying to improve my DL, really want to get above 600 (actually 700 would be nice so my DL would be more balanced with my squat)..not sure how possible 700 is.

Get back into the routine. Consistency.
Debatable until May, haven't stepped foot in the gym and only doing a BS full body once a week currently.

But it gets better. ....

Walk the straight and narrow leading up to my term life insurance renewal in the spring.  Was quite a hot mess a decade ago when the first policy was taken out. My wife is 6 years my elder and her premium was almost a quarter of mine. My goal is seeing how much my turn around means to those underwriters, hopefully get some validation of these past years of adjusting lifestyle to promote longevity.

That'll be all my sights are set on until June,  then work will consume my life yet again for a few months, and then I'll get back to balance around September and reevaluate from there.

Mission accomplished.
Just got my rates back after the physical and blood work went through,  and I'm going to be paying a rate ~10% less than 10 years ago.  So in insurance company terms,  I'm less likely to die now at 37 than I was at 27.

Brought the lab results to my family doctor today like a kid with a great report card.  Got scolded for the extra fluff I could really use to lose, but still got a thumbs up.

 Well...I'm getting closer.

All time high as of late was 235 lbs...that sucked the bag. Currently 205 and dropping, I might actually hit this goal this year! Perhaps I might be able to go as far as seeing my Abehs! I miss them, haven't seen those 6 little bastards in almost 10 years. But one thing at a time. First the get below 200 needs to happen.

Squatting again, almost back into the 400's. There may be a chance I can hit 500 in wraps...only time will tell on that one.

Bench, I'm at 310. quite possible to complete this goal this year. 15 lbs to go.

Dead, I'm more likely to squat 500 than deadlift 525. But I keep trying.

With as busy as I've been these past few months, I haven't put much thought into goals for the new year.

I was often chasing Flex, but I do believe that I won't catch him this year.  That 1605 is just too far out of my reach.  Even more so, as I turn 45 this year and that bumps me out of this RPS division into another. New records, that are mostly way out of my reach.  Although in Utica in a few months, I'll be aiming to break my own deadlift record, that's lasted since 2014...

I plan on competing twice this year.  April, and then likely November.

Crack the 550lb Squat, 350 Bench, and a 620 Deadlift.

Stay in the 242's and get leaner and stronger. I have Quad veins now, and that's a new thing.  Of course, only in the right light and after I've had massive quantities carbs...
six month check-in.

Well... tied my Deadlift record at least. I did hit the 350 Bench, and I'm coming closer to that 550 squat. I am leaner, and stronger, and the quad veins are more apparent.  That Dead is still out there. I've not made much progress on that at all.  In like, Years....

So, the task for November, is to hit that Squat and Dead.  Who knows what weight I'll be at, so the 242's may be out.  I'm thinking that I'm just, for a change, not diet at all into November, and just walk in at whatever weight I am.

My prediction is that if you do you will have your best meet ever.
