Nice bench video. Our body types and leverages look very similar on bench, it is encouraging to me because you have significantly more strength on your bench. Shows me where i can get if i keep going. Good work

Thanks Andrew. My bench isn't too bad. I'm happy I can do 2 plates. (not at that level in the program but it's there) That was my initial goal in the past. Onward to 3 pps.

Now my squat????!!?!???!!? :o

Thanks dave.
Deload day 2 deads
Knee felt ok today. Not sure what the problem is or was but I'm not taking any chances. It was ok on deads.

5x140
5x165
3x195
10x135x5

Hanging leg raises
5x10 reps

Thats it for today
I don't really like deloads cause it doesn't feel like I'm accomplishing anything but I understand the need.

Bench day today. Extra day in between cause of a course again. All done now so I should be back to my regular schedule.

BB bench

5x100
5x120
3x140
10x90

BOR

140x10x5

Simple and quick

Tomorrow is squats.I'll give it a go but I'm not sure. Deads didn't bother my knee but when I squat with bodyweight as soon as I get to parallel I feel a twinge but it's right below my knee. It feels more like hitting a nerve and a bit of weakness. I really hate this cause I always seem to have setbacks with squats. I'd just like to have things go well for once.

Well I made it through squats today. I tried wrapping with a tensor and I it felt better. Still got the weakness past parallel on the first rep of most sets but it wasn't bad. I discovered that I have to over exaggaderate pushing my knees out and each rep is fine. I didn't think I was caving but maybe thats just the way my knee is built. I think I may order a pair of sbd knee sleeves cause the wrap felt good. I don't think it would hurt. They certainly have good reviews. Any shared experience would be helpful.

So here was todays workout

Squats

105x5
120x5
140x3
95x10x5

Nordic falls

5x5

Oh and I found a good use for a sissy pad. It works well to cushion the Achilles tendon for nordic falls.

Hope everyone has a safe and productive week lifting. Go smash some pr's!

I may have missed it but did you injure your knee? Injuries suck. Good on you for not letting it stop you.
Eric

DL - 375
OHP - 130

Yeah. Last squat day something in my left knee gave a twinge on the first +1rep. I finished the workout and have been keeping an eye on it. As I described before it's like hitting a nerve as I go past parallel. Think funnybone. When it happens, it feels like it's below the knee. I don't think it's anything structural like ligaments or the like but I still don't like it.

Nice sessions going on in here. Is your knee pain just below the kneecap? The patellar tendon? I suffered patellar tendinosis for a loong time, and what actually did help it was trying to exaggerate my knee spread.
Single leg work like Bulgarian split squats, lunges and stepups might be something to add into your training. They really build up the vastus medialis and will help with knee tracking, knee stability and hip stability.  They suck, but sometimes a necessary evil!

No it's not the patelar tendon. It happened more to the side. It actually feels better now. Maybe it just needed a bit of work to realign something.  Bulgarian split squats suck ass. I have shitty balance with those. Step ups are good though. Kind of like those.

Starting another round of 5/3/1
deload was ok. My knee is so so. Still feels wonky but not bad overall. I'll run the same numbers as the last cycle and see how it goes. My SBD knee sleeves arrived today but I'm at work. Looking forward to trying them.

I'll call this cycle 2 week 1

OHP

65x5
70x5
80x3
85x5
95x5
105x16 (5+)vid

65x10 BBB

Pull/chin up
5x10reps

I felt pretty good today. Wanted 1 more rep for the 105 but I knew it wasn't there. I'll try for a little more next cycle.

Having problems with youtube so I'll put the vid up asap

For some reason it works on youtube but not the embedded video. At least not for me. Don't know why. If it's not working for others could you let me know.

Thanks

Great job on the presses! Huge reps on your plus set!
It says the vid it set to private, go in and edit it to public and should work!
