Not a single minute of conditioning for me yet. Just calorie reduction and upping the volume of my work sets slightly. I may need to jump on this conditioning train at some point or you guys will leave me in the dust

Ha well I went from 100 MPH to 0 rather quickly. Don't think I can train until Monday now. This is my first diet I have ever done incorporating conditioning, but it will be the first thing I will probably dump in energy is in the crapper.

No conditioning for me😀. It shows though.😖 I'm sure once you figure out a balace between strength and conditioning things will move in the right direction.

Started back today and I know my numbers are quite low but this kicked my ass lol I need to start light and work my way back up with consistency.  These last few weeks have been anything but consistent. 

Texas Method
Week 1 Medium Day
194.8 lbs

Squat

5 x bar x 2
5 x 70
3 x 115
2 x 145

5 x 185 x 5

My plan is to try and work on low bar squatting.  I have some work to do.  My shoulder mobility makes this tough as hell.  185 is about 60% of my max.  This will get up to real work territory soon although by set 4 I was very happy with this decision.

Bench

5 x bar x 2
5 x 85
3 x 115
2 x 145

5 x 165 x 5

I nearly got pinned on the very last rep :( 

Deads

5 x 135 x 2
3 x 165
2 x 230
5 x 275

Worn out at the end.  I've set 10 lb increases for squats and deads for the first 6 week cycle.  The main thing that concerns me about this program is how long the 5x5 workout will take once the weights start getting up there.  Today was 1hour and 10 minutes.  I'll just see how I do anyway.  It's not like me to switch programs but if I have to later on because I just can't get them in I guess I'll go against everything I believe in :P

Still just working on low bar placement.  Got it a bit lower today.  Might be hard to tell from angle.  Definitely feeling it further down than before but still not thinking it's quite low bar.  Feels strange.  Pretty much where John had me put the bar a few months ago.  I'll keep plugging away at it.

Good work Dave.  For rolling bars there are two tricks.  Chalk on the back and keep your back tighter.  You want to try to pull the bar down and bend it over your shoulders with your lats as if you were holding the bar down doing behind the neck lat pulldowns.
