Thrusters and other crossfit silliness

Ya, I'm doing A BUNCH of crossfit stuff.  Isn't as bad as it sounds.  This was 5 minutes to establish a 1RM in a "Thruster" (Front Squat into a  Press).  have to start with the bar empty and the time includes changing weights etc.

I don't know much about those, but I'd say be careful with the clean, at 2:18 it looked like your knees were about to snap sideways.

You can do them from a squat clean, or just power clean them and then front squat.  It isn't heavy for a clean so I just power cleaned them.  I see what you mean though. hopefully that was just because of the ground (sand). Probably shouldn't jump in sand while holding a barbell...
