This is from last year.  I think I had a couple more in me if I had a spotter.

Just looked through this thread for the first time.  Will be fun to watch throughout the year if people keep it up.

I did 225x3 when I weighed over 170, but my butt probably didn't stay on the bench.  Now I've lost 10 lbs and might be able to do one.
PRs:
OHP 140 - 8/27/15
BP 245 - 4/7/17
DL 345 - 8/26/15
Squat - ugh
Leg Press 670x2 - 12/10/15

So this will be my place holder entry. Did this set after 40+ reps over 75% of my 1rm, slingshot work and back work. Thought even fatigued I could get mid twenties...ya not happening. I'll do these again fresh and see where I'm at but until then 225x20 to start:

Crap didn't weigh in but I'll do it for the next entry. Never know when I'll attempt it because it depends on my shoulder and elbow issues :(

Nice work !

Yea, we have an entire year here so don't stress it. Weigh in is really only needed for tie breaking and, well, light vs. heavy weight folk within a couple reps of each other.

Nice set, brah.  Like the way you bench.  No bounce and no arch.

Not making an argument.

My arch, has saved my shoulder I think. Used to cripple my ability to bench heavy.. added a slight arch, body got very tight, shoulder pain diminished tremendously.

I think everyone has a slight arch that comes naturally from having your feet planted firmly on the floor.

Yeah, I get that a fairly significant arch is traditional to power lifting, but I come from a school of lifting that was adamantly against it.  When I first got into training, my strength coach in high school was a former Olympic shot-putter (qualified for the 1980 games that were boycotted) and he would always yell "Get your ass down" if he ever saw any people arching.

Only made it to 15 @ 193lbs.  I'm going to do the vermont, nh rps meet Arpil 24th as a bench only meet.  Hopefully I can get my shit together by then.

So, I haven't run 'competition' threads before and I think there are a couple items I failed to account for to spark more interest. Like for instance body weight vs. weight lifted...  I just went at this with a 225x reps approach and, maybe we should add a 185lb catagory for those weighing in under xxx lbs ??

Any suggestions are welcomed...

Otherwise, get to work :)

Just do a wilks score.

Problem solved.

Either way I will always lose at this because my bench is horrible.

It's a good day when I can get 6 reps with 225, even if my singles are 300+

I benched 315 for a single yesterday but struggled with 225 x 6.

Embarrassing.

At this point I'd be super happy with 225x6. I think at my best I was doing 225x10 @ like 160lbs BW.

Now I'm lucky if I can hit 225x4.

Eric

Squat - 255 :(
DL - 375
OHP - 130
Bench - 275
