Nice job on the #300 inclines, hell I was happy today just doing #205 on that same lift.

lots of guys in that bench arena, not to take away from OP at all

not a bunch in that overhead territory, you just never see guys repping 225 OHP. In fact I've never seen a single 225 OHP IRL and I have watched a lot of strong lifts.

Thanks, brah!  Obviously with OHP there is a huge difference between a seated OHP (what I always have called a Military Press) and a traditional standing OHP (what most peeps consider the real OHP).  I've always done them seated mainly because of being restricted by a lower ceiling in my weight room.  However, I recently picked a half-rack for squats and through some experimentation figured out that if I put 35 pound plates (instead of 45's) on the bar--it is just low enough to not hit the ceiling when I fully extend it for OHP while standing.  So I've been doing them standing the last 4-6 weeks.  I'd say there is probably a 25-30 difference in standing compared to seated.  I definitely don't cheat and do a push-press though.  The hardest part (for me) is trying not to over-compensate and lean back too far while doing them though.

I have never seen anyone do standing OHP with anything more than #200, I don't do them as they absolutely destroy my lower back. Military presses on the smith j do a lot of and zero back issues.

If only there were a thread in here where people would STFU and post something heavy...you might find a heavy OHP of someone repping 245lb standing OHP  :o ;)

A dude over on BB.com (Rawelite) posted a vid of him standing OHP 255x5 I believe, and all he got in return were way smaller/weaker dudes telling him he was doing "more of a push-press".  Always made me laugh.......

Not sure whatever happened to him either.  We use to PM back and forth a lot on BB.com.  He was really friendly and was always willing to answer my questions.  I know the last I had heard from him on BB.com (well over a year ago now, maybe closer to two) was that he was struggling with some depression (something I think that had plagued him before).  Hope he is doing okay.  They gym that he ran looked awesome.  No heat in the winter!  Deal with it!
