Thursday.. deads..
405 x8  (pr.. by 2 reps), x4, x2, x2 ( was wrecked..)
db rows 100s for 10 reps x 4 sets
pull downs, I dunno the weight it isn't marked, 4 sets.. increase each set in weight, decrease in reps.. pyramid style I guess

--> Pretty stoked about the dl x8 though, thats a 500 calculated 1rm, insane (last meet pull was 460). Prior was 6 reps, just a few weeks earlier..  been stuck in the 4-5 rep range for a while.

Sat.. shoulders...
Standing OHP:
* 135 x10
* 155 x6
* 175 x4
* 185 x2
* 155 x10

Overhead Plate Raise..  25lbs x100 reps
Some side lateral raises..  4 sets 30-35lbs x10 reps per set (very wide, I opt for lighter weight with a wider rom)
Facepulls...  4 sets 120s, 130s, 140s, 150s x10
seated db shrugs 6 sets 75lbs..   with a couple of second really hard squeeze at the top of each rep

6 sets of battle ropes.. 

Monday squats.. bad day.. no umph..
worked up to a 405 double
some leg curls and extensions, got the fuck out the gym early

Tuesday bench.. yummy..
warmups, pain in the ass..  bar x30, 135 x15, 225 x5, 285 x2
330 x1 paused (first paused in quite some time..  )
295 x5 reps x3 sets
225 x20 -- as a drop set, hahaha...  20 reps.. I could have finished chest day right here..

Inclined db press
80 x10
85 x10
100 x6
100 x6

Cable flies...   70lbs.. sets of 10+ reps, very wide and focus on deep stretch

Doing the Ploof Memorial in Fair Haven VT, Sept 8th
.

Still dealing with major sleep issues, I went to bed 90 minutes ago.. fucking 2 shots of NyQuil, 20mg melatonin and magnesium drink.. fuck me this is stressful.

Deadlifts:
* 135x10, 225 x5, 315x3
* 405x8,x1,x2,x1
* 325x5

DB Rows
* 90x10
* 90x8
* 80x10
* 80x10

Pulldowns
x10,x10,x8,x6..  no clue the weight, cable plates not marked... increased weight each set.. 

Regarding deadlifts, my program did not call for max rep pr this week w/405. I hit 8 reps last week, + 2 rep pr, and for the last week it has been a burning question.."was that a + week, an anomaly, or can I smash 8 reps again? ". Got 8 reps.

The tax on the system, at that weight, is much different than the tax on the system at lower weight. Even though rep count may have been the same at the time (IE: When I could only do 315 for 8... ) the tax is much different.. much more draining... I've read that many times.. feeling it the last 2 weeks.

I'll end up hitting 405 for a cpl reps but moving north with working weight etc.. etc..   I need to get used to pulling 450+ for a rep or two.. if I am going to threaten 500 any time soon for a real 1rm.

Fun stuff is remembering years ago on bb.com when ID and the gang had a deadlift for reps competition, based on body weight. 1x, 1.5x, 2x etc.. etc.. I remember slamming 300 for a bunch of touch n go reps.. thinking I was hot shit. I've since abandoned t&g reps, everything is paused, it's such a habit that if I want to t&g I have to think about it and try.. awkward as shit. --  good times, when there was what I consider meat and potato conversation at that old forum... now it's garbage.

Anyhow.. Friday is off...   squeeze in arms and shoulders this weekend...  squats monday.
