Squats and DL

Squats
120x5
150x5
180x3
195x5
225x5
255x7 (5+)

DL
135x3
185x3
225x3
300x4x3

Right groin started squawking again on squats. Thought it felt better but the heavier sets on squats caused it to start aching. I think it's just a strain. No bruising or anything like that. Didn't think DL would bother it and the first working sets that was true but on the 4th set noticed I was compensating for the discomfort and decided a 5th set was not a good idea.
No legs for 3 days so I plan on taking advil, icing it and hope the rest days set me right for Tuesday of next week.

Holy moley  that's a boatload of benching at 230. Seriously jelly. Nice work on the squats and deads too. Good call on resting the groin. I'm sure you'll be back at it by Tuesday.

OHP and bench

BB OHP
60x5
75x5
90x3
105x3
120x3
135x6 (3+)
150x5

SS BBBP/Lat pulldowns
135x5/120x16
185x5/140x12
200x5/160x8
200x5/160x8
200x5/160x6
200x5/180x4
200x5/120x10

V-bar tri pressdown
80x2x10

Ran outta time to get any additional sets of accessory stuff completed.
Main lifts went well. Lifting partner is ahead of me on OHP since my injury. 135 felt good so I thought I'd try 150 that was his 5+. Got 5 and, most importantly, no shoulder pain at all. Shoulders are just pleasantly fatigued is all.

Groin is still bothering me. I'll get DL done but I'm not so sure about squats tomorrow. Maybe just some really light sets.

Tues  Sept 19, 2017

DL
150x5
185x5
225x3
260x3
300x3
335x1 (3+)

Misc leg presses

Groin still hurts and DL was a fiasco today. Tired, hungry and out of the game. Only pulled 335 once and knew that was it. Plus, got super dizzy afterwards to the point I had to grab the bench and sit down for a spell.
Not sure what to do with the groin issue. DL didn't seem to bother it but leg press did. Maybe a week off from squats or figure something else out.

Those little nagging injuries are a bitch.  It's tough not to let them get in your head when there is some weight on the bar, especially when you don't know if it's something that will just go away on it's own.  I have a few long standing ones as we all do, but when there's a new one it's hard to keep it out of my head.

Sorry to hear about the continuing struggles. Good on ya for getting in there though. I've had the dizziness thing before. Kind of scary. I always think of those youtube fails where someone deadlifts and then passes out into the dumbell rack.

I hear you on the mental aspect of an injury Tooth. When I get close  or over a weight where I may have previously injured myself it starts messing with my head.

A week off may be a good course of action Eric. Let things rest up a bit and see from there.
